I had a 30 minute scenic out of Nullarbor Roadhouse over the Bight. Cory was a great pilot and tour guide and we saw about a dozen whales and some of the famous cliffs along the Great Australian Bight.
My suggestion would be to try to book 45 mins or an hour as it would have been good to see more of the beautify coastline.

Oh wow what an experience, to see everything from above including the beautiful coastline and of course the whales. You will see the Nullarbor and our Pilot was awesome and shared so much information. The plane itself such a joy to fly in this bird. If you can do yourself a favour from Nullarbor roadhouse even if its not Whale season.

An absolute highlight of our trip across the Nullabor was a scenic flight with Chinta Air leaving from the Nullabor Roadhouse.
Our pilot, Donald was fabulous and agreed to our request for a flight without the door. This was an extra charge and well worth the cost.
Highlights were the awesome nullabor plain stretched out below with the occasional scruffy tree, vast areas of saltbush, the rolling sand dunes at the eastern end of the Bight, the whales of course, the southern ocean, the Bunda cliffs, the road stretching over the horizon and yes the Nullabor roadhouse.
We didn't see wombats but we did see their networks of burrows.
Turning west Donald flew us over the whale nursery, mums and bubs are easy to spot from this vantage point. I cant tell you how many Southern Right Whales we saw because I didn't bother to count them.
The Bunda cliffs stretch across the Bight unbroken for 200 Kilometre, you can see evidence of the ongoing erosion as the Southern Ocean crashes against the sandstone cliffs.
Our plane was comfortable, well maintained and I felt very secure. Very smooth take off and landing.
We were so happy with Chinta Air that we took another flight with Donald in the Flinders Ranges.

We did a flight with Hugh from Nullarbor Roadhouse. It was so memorable. Hugh was very thorough, informative and helpful but also just let us soak it all in, because that is the best way. To see the whales and cliffs from the air is just breathtaking!

Hello TheSteggs:
Thank you for flying with Chinta Air from the Nullarbor Roadhouse. I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your flight with Hugh - the scenery on the edge of the Nullarbor is just stunning.
We hope to welcome you aboard at one of our other bases soon - Rawnsley Park Station (on the South side of Wilpena Pound, in the heart of the Flinders Ranges), or from Ceduna.
Safe travels.

Wife and I flew north from Rawnsley Park, including over a filling Lake Eyre. Not inexpensive but terrific - an unforgettable experience. And thanks to our highly informative pilot, Josh, who made it such an interesting day.

Our friendly pilot, Josh, showed us the amazing "Marree Man" and pointed out all the ranges and features on the way up including the tributaries and waterways. The colours of the landscape were absolutely beautiful and we had perfect weather for flying over the lakes and our wide brown land. Josh took our orders for lunch at William Creek and made sure we were looked after. We then flew back to Rawnsley where we began our adventure. This was an awesome trip and I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful way to see the outback! Lake a Eyre in flood to Birdsville via Innaminka and William Creek - what an experience. Excellent pilot with lots of experience in the area and lots of knowledge. Great social experience with only 4 guests and all get a window seat! Would like to do more trips line this to other destinations

We flew from Rawnley's Park at 9.30 in morning flying over Wilpena Pound and then Lake Torrens , which still had patches of water in it from previous rain. We landed at William Creek for lunch - hamburger was yummy. After lunch we flew over Lake Eyre and up to the top where the water runs in. Josh showed us some bird life and different parts of the lake. We then flew over Maree Man - this was amazing ! It was great to fly over many of the towns we'd driven through in our travels such as Leigh Creek, Lyndhurst, Farina . We arrived back at about 3.30. Special thanks to Josh, our pilot who was very informative throughout the day and wonderful to fly with. Although not cheap it is a once in life time experience not to be missed.

Can only agree with the previous review. Our pilot, Todd, was a delight and provided lots of interesting detail on a unique and very special flight experience from Rawnsley Park. Todd is an excellent pilot and take-offs, landings and everything in between were very comfortable. We came up from Tasmania specifically to do the flight and were rewarded with great sheets of water advancing across the salt lake and rivers awash. The colours and patterns of water, salt and earth were just wonderful. Sadly no bird life but still an amazing experience. We also paid the extra for the extended flight and strongly recommend it.
