Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The statue of Gunsynd is a work of art and befits a great horse. Go to the library come info centre for the amazing history of this beautiful horse if you're too young to know. And having the Tree of Knowledge next to it makes it a well worth visit.

We visited the beautiful statue and admired the detail of race eons and significance of this amazing horse. What was equally beautiful was the museum about gunsynd and the horse relationship with Goondiwindi. The museum is free and located at the Goondiwindi council chambers in the centre of town. Well worth the visit

It is a pleasant spot by the river with benches and the historic bridge nearby. I am afraid that statues do little for me but the river view is fine.

The statue is nice but there are better picnic areas. Have a quick look at the statue but don't miss the information centre about 50m away and check out the Gunsynd museum at the back. Racing enthusiasts will love it. Our guide gave us first hand memories. Great photos, complete history and some of the Goondiwindi Grey's trophies. Not to be missed if you enjoy anything equestrian.

Great spot for a dawn run. People are friendly and the birds are prolific for the dawn magic hour. Best things in life are free

We had problems finding the statue but when we did it was well worth it. The statue itself is nice and the location makes it an even more beautiful spot ... close to the river, historic bridge and park. If In Goondiwindi, it is a must see.

While not a grand monument by any means this statue is set in a small park on the bank of the river and is a nice quiet spot for a break on the way. Picnic and BBQ facilities are present as are public toilets. Horse racing fans will find more historical interest in the monument. For those who aren't it is a nice spot to break a drive and stretch the legs along the river bank or have lunch.

Opposite the Tree Of Knowledge, this lovely statue bears memory to the famous Gunsynd race horse. Needs better parking access
