Three wise men visited this museum while our wives undertook some retail therapy. What a great place to visit and reminisce as you walk through the hangers and displays. In some cases you can walk through the planes as well. So many hours of restoration...More

Thanks, Wadlyn. Really appreciate you taking the time to complete such a comprehensive review. By the way, QAM won its 'Attractions' Category at the Sunshine Coast Business Awards last night.....much excitement!!!

I travelled here in late 2018. My first impressions were just how large and expansive the space and exhibits were. This is a must visit for anyone who like the "kites" when visiting the Sunshine Coast. Obviously the FA-18 is a major draw card and...More

Thanks, Ross. Really appreciate you taking the time to write a comprehensive review. QAM has big plans into the future which includes another 3.5 hectares of land adjoining the existing site. We have just acquired our 99th aircraft and numbers 100 & 101 are not...More

What an amazing place. Bigger then expected with lots to see. Friendly & informative staff. A few interactive exhibits that break up the reading & looking at some wonderful old planes & jets.

Thanks, Kenn, so pleased you enjoyed QAM. There's always something at QAM, a new display, or a restoration.

A great museum right on the doorstep of the Sunshine Coast. The aircraft are in mostly good condition, with well written information provided for each aircraft, including specific flight information for each aircraft. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Highly recommended.

Hi Gareth. Thanks for your review and comments. One of our challenges at QAM is, and an acquirer of historic aircraft, often our acquisitions get ahead of our capacity to maintain/restore them. We are constantly seeking additional volunteers to assist at all levels.

Reviewed 27 September 2018

Great place to visit, they have most of Australia's historical aircraft and quite a few of the civil aircraft as we. To think that most of theses aircraft were refubished by volunteers is amazing. Well worth at least couple of hours.

Not inexpensive at $20 per adult or $40 per family but the whole project relies on the public to cover expenses. There is no government funding. Most of the labour is provided by volunteers. Great variety of aircraft both civilian and military, and an interesting...More

Thanks for your review. Pleased you appreciated the work by QAM's volunteers, and, yes, we are all volunteers. That said, even without a wages bill, QAM is an expensive place to run. Just one recent recovery and restoration has cost 6 figures! and have added...More
