I booked the Glasshouse Twister jet ski ride with Caloundra Jetski for 1pm Friday 20th October 2023. I drove up from Brisbane and at about 12.30pm received a text saying that they were running late and that I needed to be at the meeting point at 1.15pm, this was fine. I arrived at 1.05pm and waited to be greeted, this went onto 1.35pm when I decided to leave as no one came to meet me, nor any update provided, I was not happy.
I jumped in my car and left to head back to Brisbane to receive a text message at 1.48pm asking where I was? I told them I had left, and they asked if I would come back. I said no I was not happy, they tried to ring, but didn’t want to listen to their excuses. There was no apology and no offer to refund the cost of $280 which was pre-paid.
On returning home to Brisbane I sent an email asking for a refund and received no reply. I again followed up on Monday 23rd October and again had no reply on a refund. It was obvious to me that they had taken a late booking on the Friday morning which impacted on my booked jet ski ride. They weren’t 15 minutes late as it ended up being over 45 minutes late!
Rather than owning up to the mistake and refunding my money, they treat me like I was at fault for not waiting around for them to turn up. It has been extremely poor communication and treatment and greed by Caloundra Jetski to push my booking and then blame me for their failure to manage their business.
I recommend not using Caloundra Jetski as you run the risk of losing $100’s of dollars due to no care for paid customers and no ownership of poor decisions by the owners.
