Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Walked to the 2nd lookout from the Northern carpark. The free carpark closest to the starting point so we used the paid parking on Goodwin Terrace, 90c per 30 mins, and the inspectors were out checking!
My 4yo and 6yo managed the walk just fine, including over 100 steps. The first lookout is pretty obstructed by trees so we continued up the hill to the 2nd. People come here for whale watching but it was too overcast for us to see much.

This was such a scenic walk, constantly changing as I walked to the top and then back down via the opposite side. The beach was so crowded and yet the walking path which starts just at the end of the beachfront was relatively deserted. The pictures speak for themselves

There are 3 main tracks across Burleigh Head National Park, a Rainforest track to the north, the Ocean View Lookout track across the middle, and the Ocean View Track around the front, each providing exactly what they suggest.
The Lookout Track takes you to 2 formal lookouts and a couple of private sitting benches with view, all worth the effort to explore.
Signs tell you to be mindful of wildlife, and I encountered a Koala on this occasion, walked towards me, crossed the path, then casually climbed a tree with a couple of stops and brief hello’s as she ascended. Just a wonderful wild experience.
The tracks are fully paved, but do get to stairs on occasions. Take water and make the time to relax and enjoy this beautiful national park

This park occupies the promontory in the southern part of the beach. It has trails that run through it, ideal for a low difficulty walk because it is a short distance and with some steps, but not that many. We started from John Laws Park and took the path that borders the sea; Another option is to go along the central path that develops in a higher part. During the journey you can enjoy lush vegetation and beautiful views from its viewpoints. The route ends on the Gold Coast Hwy route where there are public bathrooms a few meters away. To return to the beach, we walked a section along the route and then crossed Rudd Park, which has free areas for parking.
It is a short walk that can be taken when visiting the southern area of Burleigh Beach.

This is a must do walk when in Burleigh. This walk is equipped for all ages prams walkers and offers great views of the coastline. Keep your eye open for the whales and enjoy. The walkway is well maintained and is closed when winds and rain is expected. Listen to the birds watch for wildlife and read about the local aboriginal communities

A lovely walk from Burleigh Heads to Palm Beach (and back) - very scenic and shadey in parts. Plenty of lizards to see along the track. We stopped off at Palm Beach to take in the scenery and water activities.

We had a very pleasant walk in this park. Starting at the Burleigh Heads side, we walked along Oceanview Track to Tallebudgera Creek and then returned via lower track on the Rainforest Circuit. Paused for a while to watch whales which was a bonus. Well maintained and bitumen so easy walking.

The lower track around the entire park is an easy walk with plenty of room for hikers and cyclists. The pathways are very well maintained and access to the various vantage points was easy. Everything is signposted and easy to find.

Small as far as National Parks are concerned.
Nice views from several vantage points.
Limited wildlife.
Living within five minutes we have made this our daily walk.
Different walks with differing exercise potential.
Gets a bit crowded on the weekends, week days are better value.

Hi can you tell me what the main tree species are in this reserve. I noticed some tuckeroos and others but would like to know more. Thanks Paul
Written 18 September 2017
There is a "friends of burleigh" group that meet regularly and spend time removing unwanted species under the guidance of council/parks staff. i would suggest meeting up with them for a more in-depth visit and to get some genuine knowledge of the many species there. Sorry i cannot be more help.
