Visited Event Cinemas at Liverpool Sunday afternoon pm. The movie session was at 4:30pm, we arrived at 3:30pm to enable us time to find a park, and to get to the ticket office in plenty of time before the movie commenced. The cinema complex itself is very run down and shabby - carpets look like they have not been vacuumed, only one staff member that we could see at the food/drinks counter (which is where you have to buy the tickets) and no-one at all checked our tickets before walking into the cinema. Arm rest was broken in seats. Following the movie - we left straight away and walked back through the centre to our car. When we attempted to leave the car park - we had to pay $9 first before we could leave - this is unfair....you should be able to validate your car parking with the cinema so that cinema patrons (who are going to be there for 3+ hours like we were) don't have to pay the parking fee. To be clear - we did not go to Westfield for shopping - we only went for the movie & to be charged a car parking fee for this is absurd. Plenty of other shopping centres allow free parking for movie patrons (e.g. Stockland Wetherill Park) - so Westfield/Event Liverpool..... you have lost us as future patrons.

The food court on the 2nd floor has play ground for kids which is really good. I always go there to drop by the bakery and Asian grocery, there are many retails and convenient. The carpark on weekend is a nightmare, better to go early in morning though.

The event cinemas here is horrible. Do not go here. Save your money and go to Wetherill Park or Parramatta cinemas. I attended a session on a Saturday night. Firstly the staff members ticket scanner displayed the incorrect code for our film. Secondly the cinema itself is disgusting. The bathrooms were trashed, many cubicles had toilet paper thrown across the floor, the locks on the cubicles were missing or broken, the bathroom itself is outdated. Thirdly the cinema seats are stained and smell awful. They haven’t upgraded the cinemas in a long time and the old fabric seats are horrible. There are stains on the ceiling. Our movie was delayed because there were problems with the audio. After a late start, the film had muffled audio consistently throughout our session. Staff restarted our movie to attempt to fix the issue but skipped a head of where we were up to and gave everyone spoilers. At one time we had over 30 mins straight of terrible muffled audio. We were extremely lucky our film had subtitles. After the film we were given a voucher for one free 3D film but quite frankly the overall experience was dreadful. I would never return to this cinema again. Spend your money at their competitors where you actually get value for your money.
