Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We got there for 5.45am, it was pitch black but to witness the magic of sunrise was incredible. You can see the Three Sisters to your right and the views are just never ending and breathtaking. There are toilets and picnic tables, plenty of parking and the first lookout is just a few steps down so no heavy hiking involved. I'll tell everyone I know going to the Blue Mountains to stop here!

Great vista and a different angle on the area. As you walk to the point you pass lovely houses that have backyards that must have fantastic views.
Limited parking. An easy 175m walk from the carpark to the lookout with a shelter to stop for a break.
From the Fairmont it is an easy paced 45 min walk each way.

The walk was fairly short (< 5mins) so don't expect to get any exercise but perfect for young families or those with limited fitness levels.
We saw a Lyrebrid which was amazing and the view from the lookout was beautiful, especially during the low cloud cover which made it look as though we were floating.
There are gaps in the fences so be careful with young kids. A few rocks and steps to climb over so not wheelchair or limited-mobility friendly.

Located just outside of Leura this viewpoint showcases a panoramic view of the blue mountains, as well as the very back of the 3 sisters.
The obvious comparison that takes place here is whether or not this is a viable alternative to the crowded echo point of Katoomba.
I would say no. Firstly, although you can see the three sisters, they are far away and the views are much better from echo point. Secondly, and rather frustratingly, they have in more recent times introduced paid parking at a rate of $3 per 15 minutes. This also has to be paid through an app you need to download onto your phone. You’ll probably need half an hour just for a quick stop here so it really isn’t a place you can linger because of this. I believe some cars have parked up the road to avoid the toll.
I found this cash grab to be quite unnecessary and a bit cheeky.

We went to watch the sunset over the Blue Mountain. The is a short walk down to the lookout point. It was in a great spot & there was nobody else there. You could also sit further up away from the point on the hill side & have a great view.

Lovely spot as it the town (Leura, with good places to eat and a good bookshop, though it seems the collectables hall is closing down, sadly), as is the nearby-ish Three Sisters Lookout (in Katoomba)!

This is a must see lookout when visiting Leura. The 270 degree view is second to none. On a clear day one can see a very great distance across the mountains and valleys from a great height. The different terrains are clearly distinguishable. It is a short walk from the car park but is well worth the effort. Do not miss this attraction.

There are a lot of beautiful spots in the Blue Mountains, of course, but I would rate this as one of the best for its combination of spectacular, sweeping vistas with easy access, but with just enough vehicular difficulty (small parking lot!) to keep away the crowds. There's also views from here of the very popular Three Sisters, albeit from afar, but for me that provides an even better perspective vis-a-vis the grandeur of the whole area. All-in-all a real gem of a spot!

Came here for a visit & what can I say. It was out of this world, if you are near it’s a must to go and see, photos don’t do it justice. It’s AMAZING.

Hordes of tourists visit Sublime Point as Katoomba’s three sisters as it was manicat Katoomba - hopefully discerning bushwalkers choose the Leura alternative.

Sublime Point Leura is sublime! It's about a 500-walk down from the car park to the lookout itself. You certainly don't get the hordes that visit Echo Point at Katoomba.
