I guess it depends on the kids though. Lots of glass cabinets with little room between it. Not sure how many of the characters they would know either. My friends & I had lots of... read more

The Museum is like all, the building and the garden are both well kept with some interesting shrubs and trees. The miniature Railway collection is good, but did not see many Aussie locomotive models in it. the signs and railway memorabilia is based on N.S.W.

I took one of my grand daughters to this museum. She enjoyed it but I think I enjoyed it even more because it brought back memories of my childhood - particularly the train sets and the meccano items The museum is in an elegant mansion that is apparently owned by the Evatt family. It is set on a large block... More

The Leuralla Gardens are located opposite the Toy and Miniature Railway Museum. Why bother entering as the view can be seen via the alley way to the left of the garden (lawn with not much else) and take you right down to a lookout.

We looked forward to visiting Leuralla as our 2 year old loves anything train related. We were also keen to view the house and gardens. The house is beautiful however the museum (inside the house) is not suitable for young children as everything is locked in cabinets and not engaging for the littlies at all. The rooms are cordoned off... More

Visiting here was not quite what we were expecting really. The essence basically is on toys of old and new, along with the classics. The house which still has half in use by the owners, is great to see from a bygone era. We thought given the entrance fee of $15 with no concessions for seniors was quite steep really... More

I've seen the signs advertising this place many times as i crossed the Blue Mountains and had it on my bucket list. Yesterday I went there, and found it fascinating. The old house is worth a visit in itself. The entry fee was $15, not unreasonable. The collection of toys was brilliant, lots of them very old and reminded me... More

A lovely house and garden with the added bonus of the magnificent toy collection. We were welcomed by a delightful lady who clearly loves the place and was full of useful information. I could have spent hours here. I have one small quibble.... It's a shame that they don't include the running of the models outside the house in the... More

If you are traveling up the Blue Mountains, apart from visiting the scenic world and if you have additional time on your itinerary, perhaps you can consider visiting Leuralla which is a house in Leura area which is full of history and heritage it is about 10 minutes drive from where we stay. (3 Sisters Motel). The place is now... More

We were pleasantly surprised at this attraction when we visited on a very rainy day. The lady on the door was welcoming and very passionate about her job. She gave us a wonderful introduction to the house and its history. Seeing so many toys from the past hundred years all displayed with pride, together with a number of rooms set... More
