We really enjoyed our visit here despite the bad weather. We arrived at opening time and went down the mountain in the Rail car which was fun. We then did the medium length walk through the rainforest which was stunning, so green and alive. The elevated boardwalk off the ground was done really well and safe for most fitness levels. The rain and mist stated setting in and by the time we went back up in the cable car we were surrounded by fog most of the way up. The skyrail exp was also really cool to be suspended amongst the clouds even though we couldn't see much. All staff were super friendly too!

We had the most fantastic day at Scenic World. started with the rail trip down the mountain, (that got the heart pumping!) had a beautiful walk along the walkway to the cable car and back up the mountain then onto the sky rail. This is well worth the visit the scenery is amazing.

The Scenic World Blue Mountains is a must see when you are in the area. What is really great is that whatever your fitness level, you are catered for. And you can come and go throughout the day on your ticket.

Don't bother prepaying. Still need to wait in an insanely long queue. What is the point of it. Why not have a line for prepaid and for those that haven't prepaid. Staff not helpful or sympathic. One star for lack of service

Went to see ‘light up the night’. Keep your money. It’s not worth the price you pay. Stick to seeing scenic world in the day.

Had booked the 3:45 - 4:15 session but luckily went early as they were exceptionally busy on Good Friday.
Got there at 3pm and lines were really long. Only got to go on the rail and cable car - missed out on walks and scenic skyway as last rides were at 4:50 and we’d spent the whole time queuing for the rail/cable.

Returned for Light up the Night to go on Skyway and really wasn’t too worth it. Again long lines and couldn’t really see too much. The light up stuff would really only appeal to kids under 8.

Did get a good brownie at the cafe at the end of the night.

Would recommend booking an earlier day session and not going on a public holiday as was rushed with the crowds.

I loved it. We went down in the railway, wandered around the footpath through the rainforest at the bottom until we reached the cable car, ascended and descended to continue our walk back to the railway and headed up for lunch. Had a trip across on the skyway,so we were able to do there-and-back trips on each mode of transport.

The Scenic World was a fantastic afternoon for all of us. The railway was excellent fun, and the large cable cars had excellent views. The park was excellent, and the paved walkways that went into the forest had good views of the natural environment. Staff were kind and helpful, and knew their stuff about the park.

I'm approaching 70 but still love the scenic railway, even if the cars are much more "civilised" that when I was a kid.
The first, really good, point to make is that on the day we were there recentlly the Skyway was out of action. As we checked in they had us fill in the simple form for a 20% refund. This was competely pro-active - no-on had to ask; one of the attractions wasn't available and a partial refund was automatic. That's good service.
The walks it the valley are always enjoyable. In recent years Scenic World has added a substantial length of boardwalks below the bottom stations for the Scenic Railway and the Cableway. These add to the National Park walks.
The only minor grumble is that the Cafe isn't very appealing for lunch. No problem though since the day pass allows you to come and go as you please. We just went back to Katoomba for lunch and then returned (to ride the Scenic Railway one more time).
