I've been going to BMAC and the Blue Mountains Climbing School over the last 3 years both on my own and with friends and they are always fantastic. I've done group sessions in canyons and one-on-one Climbing tuition with Marty, Erik, Cillian, Cyro, and Natasha and every time they have delivered a great adventure or went above and beyond in... Me and my partner did the Juggler Canyon abseiling and canyoning tour and it was one of our favourite things we did in Australia. The views were varied and spectacular, the paths we took downwards felt like an adventure, our guide Tom was professional, knowledgeable, patient and fun.

That's lovely feedback about Tom, I'll be sure to pass it on. I'm also glad to hear you felt like you were on a real adventure - a great thing to have! We hope the rest of your holiday in Australia got at least 4 out of 5 stars ;) Thanks for taking the time to write a review! More

A mate and I did the deep pass canyon day trip and we couldn't be happier with the day. Gilbert was our guide and he was awesome at tailoring the day to our interests. Very organised and professional but simultaneously a totally chilled out bloke. Would highly recommend to others.

Fantastic to hear! That mix of relaxed and professional is spot on and glad we hit the nail on the head. Lucky you got a small group departure for the two of you as well! Thanks for coming along and recommending us here. Cheers! More

My family with kids (ages 9, 11, 13) did Sheep Dip and Rocky Creek Canyon with Gilbert February 22, 2017. We had a blast. Gilbert was a great guide, very knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. The kids loved being able to jump or slide into the pools of water. All the gear we needed was provided. We needed the wetsuits- the... More

Gilbert was our guide - his calmness and patience is supreme!! Save for a failed attempt at abseiling many moons ago, this was my first serious abseiling - down waterfalls and into canyons, no less!! Gilbert walked me through each abseil and gave me the confidence that I could do it and have fun doing it!! He was right. The... More

Thanks so much for the review and kind words about Gilbert. He's new to the team this year and we think he's doing great - it's lovely to have someone external to verify that for us! It sounds like Lauren is well on her way too! We're also glad that you tackled the adventure head on and had a great... More

Just do it! Best day had with Charlie as our tour guide. We had a nice small group of 4 so waiting around for others to abseil wasn't an issue.

Thanks for writing a review Serena. Charles is a very experienced guide and we're glad to have him as part of the team. Our canyoning groups are always a maximum size of 2 guides to 10 participants, with most of them never being bigger than 2 guides to 8 participants. But as you found, we often have much smaller groups... More

The meeting point is right outside the Katoomba Train Station and is easy to locate. The company provided the group with most of the required items for Canyoning, all the way down to the thermal wear (subjected to availability). Our guide is very passionate and professional and goes beyond his duties. In fact, he made multiple dives to retrieve a... More

Thanks for the review Samson. It's excellent to hear that you enjoyed the un-rushed pace of the day. The locations we go for canyoning are spectacular and it's nice to have the time to be able to soak up the atmosphere and look at something other than your feet. We recommend a night in the Mountains before or after your... More

My sister and I did the Empress Falls Canyoning/Abseiling tour with Gilbert and Dan and it was AMAZING! They were great teachers. The sights were breathtaking. The view for lunch (and lunch itself) were fabulous! Dan and Gilbert patient, encouraging and very knowledgeable. It was truly the trip of a lifetime!

We were recommended BMAC by our hostel down the road. We showed up the evening before wanting to book a very last minute trip canyoning for the next morning! It's nice to know that we're being recommended locally. Thanks. Also nice to hear that we could squeeze you in at late notice AND on a trip with just you guys! Bonus! I've never had someone thank Hugh for his jokes before (certainly the rest of the team never do!) but if it got a giggle out of you then... More
