Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An all round enjoyable experience for the family with lots of smiles and excitement when we saw a dolphin. We had a great afternoon on Wallis Lake with a Blue Peter boat and kayaks. Great service, great value, clean boats and lots of fun. We will definitely be back.

We hired a tinny from here for an afternoon fishing with the family. Boat was well kitted out and the owners were very helpful and friendly.
We had a great time. Wallis lake is stunning.
Unfortunately. I think we were the only family ever to have fished the lake and not catch anything! Maybe next time.

We enjoyed our day on the water. The boat was in good condition safe and we were given very good instructions before we left. Not over the top just respect ful and helpful. Family run business. Plenty of places to explore on the Lakes.

We chose Blue Peter after reading other reviews online! As per all of the other comments, the couple that run Blue Peter were very friendly and welcoming. They provided our kids with life jackets and gave us great information on where to swim and where to take the boat for a loop around the islands. Will definitely go back next time we visit Forster!

My wife and I rented a boat for a half day of fishing and can't say enough how helpful the couple running the business are, with tips on where and when to fish and how to make the best of the experience. Prices very alike but for the price you can't beat Blue Peter Boatshed!

I have been traveling to Forster with my family for years, and we always hire a boat and / or canoes to explore the beautiful waterway and to do a little fishing.
At Blue Peter the husband and wife team are so helpful and nice they make you feel like friends.
They offer great advice on where to fish, swim and see dolphins, and make you feel safe.
The rates are very good as well, and they have fresh bait and all the tackle in the shop and will have it ready in your boat when you board.

The family had a genuinely great day out fishing Wallis Lake. It’s a safe waterway with young kids and the boats are extremely easy to use. The owners were extremely helpful and their old school courtesy was plentiful and very much appreciated. The boat was a good size for four, comfortable, stable and the rates were extremely reasonable. Great advice on where to go and how best to fish the area. We landed a 60cm flatty and 35cm bream and several other fish because of it (we were impressed with the fishery considering it’s winter). Highly recommended. We look forward to coming back again on our next trip. Many thanks for creating some wonderful family memories.
