Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We dropped into this l8cation as we hadnt been here before while cruising up the coast. It has a lovely soft sand beach to walk along on one side and the surf beach on the other side. We didnt get to see any seals although we did see a pod of dolphins not far from the inlet side of the beach. It does have toilets and its within a 10 minite drive of nelsons bay.

Pretty, secluded destination well worth a visit. New tourist park looking over the beach. Climb up to Sugarloaf Point lighthouse was worth the effort.

All I can say is take your camera. Wow what a location. When you visit the lighthouse. It is ok getting there however it is super steep up to the actual lighthouse. If you walk around the white garage on the RHS the grass path will lead you to a concrete path. It then opens up to a large area where if you walk over the the corner fence you can take great photos with out the need to climb to the top...small hidden treasure at the light house...especially if you are unhealthy or like me just old.

Even though it was really cloudy when we arrived at Seal Rocks, the surrounding was still very stunning and exciting, The walk to the Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse was easy and surrounding scenery was amazing. I was also surprised by the "horizontal blowhole" that I was so perplexed to see!

Visited on Tuesday 12th February. Well worth making the detour to visit Seal Rocks, a great beach popular with the locals.

I love Seal Rocks, have been here quite a few times as i live in Forster. It's about a 40 minute drive from Forster, unsealed road part of the way but well maintained.
There are a few little beaches in the area. Number one Beach is the best for swimming as the water is usually very calm and no rips . You can also snorkel here as it's nice and calm. I think there are a few Grey Nurse sharks around here as it's a breeding ground (these are the ones that don't bite.)
There are some other surf beaches around and also the lighthouse which you can walk up to and have a look around.
There's not a lot here. There's a caravan park and a couple of food shops and places to camp. It's great if you want something peaceful and away from the usual holiday crowds. Very relaxing

Beautiful place with a caravan park reflections right opposite. Lovely beach. Bring shelter. Car parking can be challenging
