Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The 2021 Archibald prize was doing its country tour and here it was. This along with free admission was a real treat.

We really enjoyed our visit to this regional gallery. While not getting the attention of the bigger capital city galleries, these galleries also have some fine exhibitions. None better than Art Express 2021 which showcases the fine art from the 2020 Higher School Certificate students. With different media and inspirations, these are truly impressive modern art examples. Well worth a look.

We attend the Art Express 2021 exhibition opening event last weekend. Brian, the director make a speech and explain the selection process. The displays are from the 2020 HSC students and of very high standard. Only 270 was selected from a huge number of submissions and will display at various art gallery across NSW.
2020 is a challenging year for everyone, especially the HSC students, we are proud to see such a great effort was put in their Body of work.
This gallery has a good mix of display, as it is not only just painting, drawing, it include many others like designed object, sculpture, drawings, print making.
Really Enjoy.

We went to this gallery at the right time - when the 2020 Calleen Art Award was open. The artwork was of a very high standard. It was so difficult to select my choice for the Peoples' Award. It's a "must see' for a visitor to Cowra.

We were thrilled our visit coincided with a showing of the Calleen Art Award Exhibition. The quality of art on display was impressive and it was pleasing that two locals more than matched the big names. The winning painting becomes part of the collection and when a special exhibition is not taking all the wall space that collection would still be worth the visit.

We have visited this small regional gallery several times over the years. There is always an interesting exhibition or two- this time the goggomobile d'art and the "Lady and the Unicorn" prints by Arthur Boyd. Very helpful, informative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Definitely worth a visit in Cowra

A nice little gallery in the centre of town with easy parking nearby.
A small donation was asked for when we entered. This goes towards the upkeep of the gallery. We were lucky to have the Archibald Prize paintings being displayed there. A great bonus for our quick trip.
As a bonus, the Peace Bell is just across the road.

Visited during a stay in Cowra to see the Archibald Exhibition. The staff were welcoming, helpful and informing and enhanced the experience. It was, of course a great selection of works but the gallery had a good feel that would make any exhibition an enjoyable experience.

At the time of visit, the Archibald was on display.
The display was amazing, and the gallery housed it very well.
According to some locals we spoke with, the gallery hosts many great exhibitions. Highly recommend to any art enthusiast!
