My husband and I loved visiting Sassafras although nothing much opens until 10 am. Independent boutique shops - beautiful. I got some stunning candles and clothes. Not much for the teens in the few shops but they enjoyed the lookout

This park is a MUST visit and one day isn't enough. Loads to see and the tall trees, lakes and autumn leaves are such a gorgeous sight. Cosy Olinda Town which you will definitely have to check out.

There is no payment that I am aware of for feeding the local birds... although it is advisable to purchase seed for them, rather than bread which is too processed for them. :)
