Great tour and very knowledgable guides. Bookings are essential as it's small groups. When we arrived, Daniel (a very chatty host) talked to us about the cassowary birds for a while and we got to feed the cassowaries some fruit. We then went to (my favourite part of the farm) a paddock with lots of cute animals. This included kangaroos, goats, deer, wallabies etc. We could feed them bread and take lots of photos. Two koala bears were passed around and we could cuddle them for a good length of time. After that the group was split into two (as it was a biggish group) and our group went on the crocodile safari. We sat in an open truck and went around the croc areas. We saw roughly 7 crocs of different sizes and the guides got them to do some little tricks such as going in the water and eating meat. We went in July (winter) so the crocs were less active than they are in summer apparently. The two groups then swapped over and we sat in these seats by the food truck. The truck sells hot dogs, chips, ice cream etc but it is not guaranteed to be at the farm everyday. The guides passed around some reptiles like lizards and snakes. We also got to hold an American alligator. Unfortunately we couldn't pat the wombat as apparently it wasn't being cooperative today. Overall I would recommend this tour - we learnt a lot and got to interact with a variety of animals. It is suitable for all ages.

We had a great time and it was well worth the 75km drive out from Airlie beach. Fascinating to observe the crocs in action and hear the talk about crocs. kids also loved meeting kangaroos, various lizards, holding koalas, feeding turtles, holding snakes. The kangas and deer just kind of hang out under the barn roof like some kind of all year round nativity play. The staff clearly have a great passion for their jobs. Our 8 year old absolutely loved it. Our 5 year old was a bit timid around the wild animals but still had a blast!

Go there instead of Australian zoo. Jack and Dan are amazing guides and you will never come closer to animals. You noticed in the first moment that they have so much love and respect for the animals. The koala's are lovely and it's not a mass tourism business like in the Australian zoo, no time pressure, no stress and no extra fee.

We had the distinct pleasure of visiting Bredls wildlife park, it has got to be the best most interactive hands on experience we’ve had!
Our guide on the tour was Danial and his knowledge was incredible, everyone on our bus was excitedly asking questions which he answered with gusto, he made it fun and exciting all at once! He shocked and amazed us all with tales of his childhood growing up Bredl and laid to rest many misconceptions about crocodiles! The information was amazing, no question went unanswered and nobody was rushed! Danial was so easy to listen to, he knew so much and we all got our questions answered!
We have been to many zoos and parks over the years but never anything quite like this! We held so many animals and enjoyed the relaxed nature of the keepers, all their animals are in peak condition and lovingly cared for by true animal lovers! The park is clean and the keepers take great pride in their work! There were around 40 of us there for the day, (tours are capped at 40 people) not one person was left out from newborn to elderly, everyone was happy and had a fantastic time, we all enthusiastically thanked the Bredl family for such an incredible day!
We will definitely be back and can’t recommend Bredls highly enough! 10 out of 10!

Family run business that allows you to get close to many animals that are native to Australia. One fee to enter and you can take as many photos as you want. You also learn about the behavior of the animals and they dispell some myths.
This is a large family farm and they care about the animals' well being. You can feed kangaroos, wallabies, emus, ducks, goats. You can hold koalas (very soft and nice) and a variety of reptiles. They have everyone sit in a truck as they drive you around the crocodile enclosures and demonstrate their behavior.
So much better than a zoo. Very nice experience.

An amazing day out.
A completely different experience to ever before with the ability to hold a huge variety of animals and reptiles. Enjoyed being allowed into the animal pens to feed them and interact.
Amazing to see one of the Bredls team actually sit on the back of the crocodile. They seemed very knowledgeable and comfortable.
Really loved the little baby dear that followed everyone around and loved a good pat! All animals appeared to have lots of space to roam, happy and in good health.
Another perk was the limited group numbers so you are able to get more time with the animals and a more personalised experience.
The whole team was very lovely.
Would definitely recommend and go again.

What a fantastic experience is my first thing to say, and a family run farm. I have been to zoo's and other farms in the past but I have to say this was my best experience yet, Daniel, Zeb and Jack have so much knowledge on all the animals, there wasn't anything they didn't know, the hands on experience with the koalas and reptiles, kangaroos all of them was second to none, just being able to hold them and not be rushed to give them to the next person was fabulous u really really got to cuddle a koala it was so lovely my daughter was so happy, then we got to go on the back of the truck to see the crocodiles, here is where I was so fascinated, these crocs are huge, and again the boys are so knowledgeable about them, and really taught u alot about them, and showed u how crocodiles react and how they catch their prey etc, very interesting and then we finished off with holding the baby crocodiles, they were so cute, but again nothing was a rush all casual and very well informed, and they have a.lovely area where u can have some lunch. Such a great day out I would highly recommend to any one visiting the area and a great day out for any age. Thankyou to the Bredl's I don't think we will ever forget our experience at your farm we absolutely loved it.

This place is spectacular!!! I can't reccomend it highly enough. There is everything you get at a zoo but with better quality, alot more personal, and literal hands on animal time, and no rushing or feeling like the people were working. Everyone who worked there were great!!!!

We had a great day today at Bredls Wild Farm. It was so interactive. As the tour group is small, we had so many opportunities to hold the animals, without feeling pressure to quickly hand them on. The family who run the farm are very knowledgeable and friendly, which made it an informative and relaxed day. Our animal experiences included feeding cassowaries, kangaroos, goats, deer, turtles and ducks; cuddling a koala, patting a wombat, holding a number of different lizards and snakes, holding a baby alligator and baby croc, and going on a truck ride to view the large crocs and listen to staff members informative talks.
We are glad we came across this experience and decided to book.

Is Bredl’s currently closed due to COVID?
We have tried contacting but haven’t heard anything back, assuming this may be to do with the pandemic.

Is anyone able to lift-share? I'm backpacking at Airlie and have no transport to get to Bredl but would love to go. A bit of a last-minute punt asking here but I hasn't had any reply via email yet. Thanks!
