The trip to the Whitehaven and Hall inlet and snorkelling a couple of the reefs was absolutely amazing!! There is nothing we did not like. Even the food was delicious 😊 Fabian was the best!! He was incredible when my daughter felt anxious about the boat ride. Dave was a great captain too.

Amazing day! I was on the all-girl crew boat. Music was banging all day long. Food was pretty good. Spent a good amount of time at the whitehaven beach and 2 very cool snorkle spots. Found out they were eco certified on the trip so going on this tour will actually benefit the reefs. Great tour, pick this one if you are undecided.

We extended our trip in Airlie Beach to try this outer reef tour out as we did a tour with another company earlier in the week and were disappointed. So glad we did as this RedCat tour of the outer reef was 10/10.
The boat is smooth and spacious. Everyone gets their own seat and you can move around easily. The boat is covered which worked for us as it was rainy when we left the harbour. Luckily the day was sunny once we were out at sea! There is an open air roof top to eat lunch on which is also lovely. The journey takes 2 hours each way. We took a book and crossword to keep us busy but the views are good and the journey relaxing.
The snacks and lunch were delicious. Brownies and fruit sticks for snacks were much needed after the snorkelling! The lunch was served buffet style (rather than packed lunch box) which we liked a lot and included salads and pasta and fresh meats and cheeses. There was free cold water all day and a bar to buy drinks from if you wanted.
The reef itself was beautiful. We saw lots of fish and plenty of colourful and textured corals. One person in our group even saw an octopus! We snorkllelled in 2 locations for well over an hour in each spot. The crew came out on a boat and paddleboard while we snorkelled so you could easily head over to them for help with masks etc or if you needed a rest.
The crew were brilliant. Skipper Reece was fantastic and friendly and helped my husband a lot when he was struggling with his mask seal. Sahara, Ella, Jamie and Jesa were great deck hands, really kind and patient especially out on the water.
Overall we loved this experience, it was relaxed, great value for money and the focus was on snorkelling. If you can get out to the outer reef you should, the inner or fringing reefs are good but this gives you much more time and you see the expanse of the reef better. We cannot recommend this tour and company highly enough.

Highly professional, relaxed, fun day tour to Whitehaven Beach and snorkeling. We booked last minute but the online booking was trouble free. Courtesy bus pick up from our hotel, then efficient check in process and boarding of catamaran. Lookout at Whitehaven had multiple spots for photos, plenty of time for a swim at Whitehaven where we saw stingrays.
Lunch was generous, healthy and fresh. You could BYO alcohol.
Snorkeling was over 2 locations. One had numerous colourful fish, the other had huge and diverse coral near Hayman Island.
Three boats from Red Cat went out together and whilst we were separate, the three boats came together at certain points throughout the day which was great from a safety perspective but also great to see all 3 boats causing across the ocean together at once.
Kaz and Rosie were absolutely wonderful hosts. Professional, safe, fun and accommodating.
Recommend to everyone for a fabulous day out.

Deb and I had a fantastic time with Cory and Sahara. The crew were fun and informative and you could tell they are passionate about the health of the coral and it's longevity.
The food was delicious the tunes were great and I could not fault this experience in any way.
The coral reefs are absolutely stunning a treasure to preserve.
I will be back for sure. 😁😁😁

We did the Mackay Islands all day trip and it was fantastic! Craig, Baden and Ky have us a great experience snorkelling and paddleboarding experience even though the weather was overcast. Highly recommended!

The crew set the tone. They were enthusiastic and clearly enjoyed taking care of us. We all laughed a lot! The trip itself was fantastic. Stunning views from the lookout points but nothing like actually getting in the water and seeing the beautiful corals. The second spot had more fish and it was incredible! Go!

Hi! Slightly embarrassing question we are wanting to visit in May and do one of your tours! Are the stinger suits required? (I am a plus size gal, though still an active swimmer and I know the routine of embarrassingly trying to get one rented when they just don’t go up to the bigger sizes) if not, I’m happy to invest in one as I live on the beach anyway, just wanting to know if they are optional for this reason, thanks so much 😁

The average water temperature in August in the Whitsundays is 23 degrees. We do offer complimentary stinger suits year round. If you feel you would require a wetsuit, there are possibilities to rent these locally that we can recommend.
