Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow what an amazing place. No time limit and great workout. Unfortunately closing soon and havent had the chance to take my partner yet as we live in Melbourne. Hopefully back up and running soon. This is an activity that Airlie Beach cant afford to lose.

I came here with some friends on a Monday morning and had a great time. I recommend coming on a week day in the mid-morning, as we were given free reign of the park and unlimited time, I think there's a time limit during the peak time (weekends, school holidays) of 50 minutes, until the tide goes out, then they close up.
Make sure you do some upper body exercises before you head there, otherwise you'll be struggling to get up on some of the floats.
Great way to start a day Airlie, before heading down to the esplanade and getting a well deserved recovery meal.

I'm almost 50 and felt like a little kid on this thing, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. For $15 you get around 50 minutes, doesn't sound like much time but trust me it's enough. You have to wear a life jacket for safety but I was glad for the extra paddling. I think this is a must do for the whole family but you will need to be prepared to use some muscles you forgot you had. I'll be going again!!

upon arrival in Airlie we were very keen on heading to the Aqua Park, only to find that it had been shut down... apparently locals and holiday makers near the site of the Park complained...??????

We went down to the Aqua Park during the school holidays with two other families and it was interesting finding out what everyone thought about it. Firstly it's run by very friendly, organised and motivated people. They get everyone through the process of payment, the waiver, getting into a flotation vest and down to the beach in a simple and relaxed manner. They rotate new groups onto the park every hour so get there a about 15 minutes beforehand so you don't wait long.
There is a spot onlookers can wait that has an awning but bring your own chair as there are none provided.
I didn't go out there but the rest of the gang went and here's the feedback I got. You do a safety demo on the beach before going out on the park. No watches, sunglasses, jewellery etc but you can take goggles. You swim about 10 metres from the beach to the park which the youngest (5) needed help with. Then you have to pull yourself up onto the first floating pontoon. Everyone (1 mum, two 7 year olds, 5 year old)needed help to get pushed up, except the 2 dads and 1 teenager, who did the helping.
As soon as you're up it's mayhem with people everywhere, making the most of the hour they've paid for.
It's slippery on the plastic climbing jungle gym so my husband says you are constantly falling into your knees. You're allowed to climb all over it and generally run amok but there is a lifeguard out there to control misbehaviour.
Half of our group came in early as it was too much for them ( 5 year old, mum, 1 dad, one 7 year old). The teenager, other 7 year old and other dad didn't come off till their time was up and were raving about it. They had lots of funny stories to tell of climbing up this, falling off that, flying through the air after being propelled off a bouncy spot!
My husband who is very fit and strong said it was testing on your upper body strength and your knees.
All in all if you love pushing yourself, are a kid/teen with a daredevil streak, love the tv show Wipeout and want to wear yourself out for an hour, go for it. I sat and relaxed in the beach and enjoyed watching the chaos.

Kids loved the Airlie Aqua park. Had an awesome time and went twice during our week at Airlie. Numbers restricted so everyone gets a turn. Life jackets for safety. Beware unfit parents, lots of aches and pains the next day!!!!

We spent just over an hour at the park, it was fun and not overly expensive but the novelty wore off pretty quickly as it's quite small and hard to navigate around when busy. In my opinion there are better ways to spend your time and money in Airlie
