As of November 2017 the second campsite from Forestry Road is not accessible due to trees being knocked over from the cyclone. There are no indications of this anywhere so beware. There are 2 water refill points but the water is untreated so take something...More

Set in the rain forest, the Great Walk is a challenge for those who are fitter. A 26km walk back to Airlie beach, up and down some interesting ranges. There are some also some very nice shorter walks for the less active.

Beautiful lookout, worth the 1.5hr uphill battle. Coming back down should average under an hour. Parked close to kara crescent (street itself is local access only).
