About
'ISail Whitsundays was founded by Luke Mairs in 2007 with one simple goal: To provide one of the best sailing trips of the Whitsunday Islands. Since then the business has grown and now 2 boats showcase Luke's genuine passion for sailing and love of all things aquatic. Everyone at ISail Whitsundays prides themselves on personalised service aboard quality boats. Each tour sails, visits Whitehaven Beach including Hill Inlet Lookout and snorkels in at least 2 of the best fringing coral reef locations. Sailing with a small group offers many advantages. Boats taking less than 13 guests are allowed full access to the marine park, meaning ISail's boats can visit the best whitsunday locations whilst avoiding the crowds. There are 2 boats within the company: The 14.9m long yacht Blizzard and the 14.2m long catamaran On Ice. ISail Whitsundays offers day charters and overnight tours. All tours depart and return via Northern Abell Point Marina in Airlie Beach Queensland Australia.

This trip is incredible! Toby (Skipper) and Aoife (Host) were so attentive and so much fun. Toby spent time showing us the map and the plans for the following day. He also scheduled our day to avoid the crowds and timed things so well to avoid other tour groups. His knowledge of the islands, snorkelling and beaches was great! The boat is so nice and the food was also delicious!

Sunset in Nara inlet of Hook Island was my highlight.....but mainly as I got engaged! Again Toby and Aoife helped made the evening special and we even got the 'special glasses' hahah!

A trip I will never forget! Thanks team!!

We have just returned from a fabulous three night four day trip on the Blizzard boat sailing round the whitsunday islands. Captained by Sam with his deck hand Armin, we have had a fabulous experience taking in amazing reefs with great snorkelling, secluded coves inaccessible with the larger tour companies and drop offs at beaches few can get to. Our morning at Whitehaven beach was simply mind blowing. We were lucky to be accompanied by 8 other like minded guests, hungry to witness the wonder of this beautiful part of the world. Having an experienced ocean master as your your guide instils confidence. Cool, calm and collected, Sam was a first class skipper, knowledgeable, interesting and resourceful. The food provided from the kitchen gantry was first class whether it breakfast, lunch or dinner! Blizzard as an ocean going 15 metered single hull yacht was perfect for our adventure. We saw amazing fish and reef made possible by Sam. I can’t recommend this experience enough! First class in every way! Safety was at heart at every brief he gave, whether relating to the mandatory wearing of stinger suits when entering the water, the tide movements impacting your movement in the water, and the locations for our overnight stops! If you want to experience Whitsundays, Blizzard is the way!

Amazing two night/day experience. Skipper Toby was so knowledgeable about all things ocean. He ensured each experience was safe and rewarding from snorkeling to bushwalking, spotting marine and bird life, sailing and just relaxing. Host Katie provided us with fresh, healthy and tasty meals and snacks. So much food! Their love of the Whitsundays enhanced our experience.
O-Nice was a very comfortable boat and the eight guests had plenty of room to socialise together or to have quiet time. Heading back to Airlie Beach under sail was a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

My wife and I can thoroughly recommend the 4-day 3-night, Whitsundays adventure on the yacht Blizzard sailing out of Airlie Beach.

It’s a beautiful 50-foot yacht and we were comfortable throughout in our double ensuite cabin.

The skipper Tristam and the coxswain, Xavier were unfailingly friendly and helpful. They are skilled at sailing and knowledgeable about the Whitsunday Islands. Every night we found calm and sheltered anchorages.

Our French, English and Australian fellow passengers were excellent companions and a lot of fun.

The food was abundant and delicious. There was plenty of fresh produce which is always welcome.

We saw the beautiful islands, the lovely sunsets, the white beaches, and the many shapes and colours of the corals and fishes. We also saw the abundant and diverse bird life including Osprey. Lastlyouwe very much enjoyed multiple Humpback whale sightings, including calves, plus sting rays and a special treat, Manta Rays.

A truly memorable vacation 5 out of 5.

This review is about the company that owns Onice and Entice. It is very difficult to be sure this is in the right location as so many companies have similar names.

Let me start with the good things. I took two different boats the onice and the entice out on two and a half day two night trips. The captain and the deckie on onice were great. The captain and decky on entice were just okay. The problem with both those trips is that they are predetermined cookie cutter versus actually asking the passengers even once what would you like to do. As an example almost 40% of the time is spent motoring to the fantastic white Beach climbing into the dingy getting to the back side of the island walking over the top of the island and getting to the white sand beach walking back getting on board and being so far away from ailie Beach. This strategy on both boats caused there to be minimal sailing time, two very short snorkeling times. At no time did anyone say would you like to spend the two days snorkeling, or would you like to spend a lot of time sailing, or would you like to spend what is essentially 8 hours going to a white beach. It's a very nice white beach but it's a white beach. Second point is that they should not be a deckhand that's allowed to chain smoke during the trip. Regardless of where you stand on a catamaran because of the swirling nature of the winds the cigarette smoke is always present in the boat. When they're using roll your own the smell is even worse. The food on both is okay. It's formulaic on the third lunch you'll have wraps on the first night you'll have fish with the pre-made white sauce. Unfortunately on our second trip out the fish was not loaded on, when it was they did load enough, also not enough salad was put on for the the last days lunch so there was no wraps available just cheese and crackers for lunch. The crew and Captain work hard to make the time pleasurable but it's almost like this set of actions was determined 20 years ago and nobody is taking a look at it. As a side note do not whatever you do book the single side bunk. It is astonishingly small. You are in the hallway of two other cabins as well as your head is right across from the main toilet. I ended up sleeping outside on the deck on hard cushions or inside on the lounges around the dining room table. This could be a great company I wish somebody would pay attention to it.

It was a great and fabolous trip, at the start there were really bad weather and we nearly had to cancel, but the skipper Tris showed his profession a made a great trip out of it. 3 times snorkeling, beaches (whitehaven too), reef, best meals (thx Ried), turtles, stingers, sharks and whales. Thx a lot for this experience for all ages 😉🇦🇺

Mike & I had a fabulous 2D/2N sail around the Whitsundays with iSail Whitsundays on “O-Nice”, a 45ft catamaran. We had a private double cabin with ensuite which was well worth the $$. The trip was fully hosted by Toby, the skipper & Katie our deckhand,& cook - nothing was too much trouble. So many water activities (snorkeling, paddle boarding etc), heaps of wildlife (Humpback whales, dolphins, turtles & very colourful tropical fish) plus plenty of sailing too. Toby was a very informative guide, Katie an excellent cook & our travelling companions (Danish family of 4 & a French couple) were wonderful to holiday with. All in all, a once in a lifetime experience, very highly recommended.

My wife and I had an amazing experience sailing Entice with our skipper Toby and first mate and cook Mikie.
Both were lovely people.
Toby was a great captain and very knowledgeable of the area and the sea creatures.
Mikie was a lovely young German lady who made delicious meals for us.
We had a small group of 7 guests plus ourselves. Our fellow guests were lovely people as well and we made some great friends.
Our cabin was comfortable, and it was a great experience to lie on the boom net with waves crashing in; helping raise the main sail, and trying to keep our balance in general.
We saw whales, pilot whales, green turtles and stingrays.
Whitehave beach was amazing, and the other guests went snorkeling even though at this time of year it was a bit chilly.
We seem to have brought the cloud from Canberra and most of the time the sun was hidden, but it did not stop us from having a great time.
Special thanks to Toby and Mikie.

We completed our 2 night cruise this afternoon and it was fantastic. We were lucky to have Jay and Mikie as our crew. They were both just awesome. Mikie cooked us up a storm (all very delicious) and was so helpful and friendly throughout the whole cruise. Jay made us feel safe and in the best of hands. He had great knowledge of the area and it was obvious he was very competent with the boat.
Super friendly as well.
Couldn’t rate this trip higher.
