More
Whitsunday Crocodile Safari is a safe, all-weather nature excursion which can take you to see crocodiles in the wild in the Whitsundays. Whitsunday Crocodile Safari has been operating for 15 years and is a family owned and professionally operated tour which guarantees excellent customer service and a memorable nature experience for our guests. Cruise the calm waters of Proserpine River and watch crocodiles in their natural habitat as you experience a mangrove ecosystem. Explore Goorganga Plains on a tractor-drawn wagon train and discover the vegetation and wildlife in a freshwater wetland habitat. A huge barbecue lunch, traditional billy tea and damper, professional expert commentary from local experienced guides and courtesy bus transfers are all included with your tour. Whitsunday Crocodile Safari is a Green Travel Leader and has held Advanced Certification with Ecotourism Australia since 2002.

If you want to get an experience of a typical Australian ecosystem, it is the perfect tour. It is not for small children as the tour spends quite a substantial time cruising up and down the river bank looking for crocs. Also if crocodile is...More

Great experience seeing crocs in the wild and learning about their habitat. Bush BBQ lunch was delicious and really enjoyed the tractor ride through Goorganga, seeing more wildlife and learning about local flora, history and more! Highly recommend as an alternative activity in the Whitsundays,...More

The crocodile part of the tour was quite good. If you were at the back of the vessel as we were however, you didn’t always get to see. Lunch was nice, but the rest of the day felt like a waste of time. Patience with...More

I’d seen crocodiles in the wild before, so I was a bit ho-hum about the visit to Whitsunday Crocodile Safari that was part of my Cairns to Brisbane bus tour. But I’d never seen so many crocodiles in the one place before, as we cruised...More

Hi Murray Thanks for the review. We don't make up the croc names (well we do initially) as we go along. Many of the crocs you saw have been named because we see them regularly, and have been for many years, and are all identifiable....More

This is a great way to see crocodiles up close and personal. We saw many young 1-3yo crocs, and a large one from a distance. The river is wonderful to cruise down. The hosts are passionate about where they live. At this time of year...More

Thanks for the review Chrisjam. Yes, unfortunately nature is not always at its' spectacular best, but it is good to see that we do actually experience seasonal changes, even in the tropical north of Australia. Thanks for the feedback. Regards Steve Watson
