Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Definitely worth a trip to the markets if you are here on a Saturday. Lots of good market stalls to check out, especially if you have a teenage daughter who is very much into crystals and jewellery.

Go early if you want some Mango Sorbet, we went at 11 and he had already sold out and was packing up. Lots of other food stalls to try.

Playgrounds close by with Live music playing.

We decided to take a stroll around the Saturday morning market in Airlie Beach and found it to be quite enjoyable. There were various stalls selling the usual things that every market sells and some really lovely jewellery stalls. The atmosphere was chilled and after we finished looking around the stalls we walked along the beach and then into the town. A great way to enjoy a sunny Saturday morning if you have a spare couple of hours.

Cool markets. We'd driven up early from Mackay and made it in time for the markets.

Parking is a problem, especially if you have a 7m campervan but we managed a spot after a few passes.

There are lots of stalls with some very clever artisans. Prices are reasonable at most stalls.

Lots of food and drinks on offer too.

So much choice.

The Airlie Beach markets are a great little community event that you can enjoy each Saturday. Some nice little food stalls and local produce as well. It's not a very big market though, and make sure you bring cash as not everyone will accept card payment. Definitely nice for a group of friends or family.

There was a variety of stalls however it was very busy. There isn't a huge amount of market food stalls. Great to support the locals though.

We'd tendered ashore from our cruise ship and were driven by shuttle from the Abell Point Marina to the foreshore park, exactly where the market began. What a surprise! We expected to find jewellery, organic foods, women's and children's clothes, and a limited range of T-shirts but what really impressed were the mango smoothies and the genuinely un-tacky souvenirs but, above all, the warm and friendly greetings from all the stall holders, whether you were buying or not. The stall are set either side of a gently undulating concrete footpath that takes you to the main shopping streets of Airlie Esplanade and Shute Harbour Road. Conveniently, there's also a very clean "convenience: mid-way along the footpath. It's a great way to spend a good couple of hours!

Very diverse market for its size and considering that there isn't a permanent structure supporting the stall holders.
All stalls are temporary and erected the morning of the market consequently there are some physical restrictions on offerings.
However you would probably be pleasantly surprised what is actually on offer and prices seem to be reasonable as well.
Worth a look and put aside an hour or two to simply stroll around and unwind.

Greedy Council fines your vehicles while you attend $275 total rip off. Markets ok but don't park down there.

These guys pop up whenever a ship is in port in Airlie and every sat morning by the looks of things! We enjoyed walking around browsing at the lovely items for sale! Grabbed an enthralling book by the local Psychic Medium that I felt led to, check her out while you're in the markets... She's the real deal! Will definitely return to the markets next time we're in town!
