Having seen the roadside signs we were prepared for this to be a bit naff, but in fact it was good fun and well presented. The 11.00 feeding of the saltwater crocodiles was fascinating for the information about them told by one of the staff as he dangled a piece of meat above the water. There's a good park walk... More

We arrived a bit late, so didnt get to see the whole place. So we went back a few days later for an hour to check the rest out. The place is pretty well run and laid out. We did the boat tour which I thought would be overly-touristy, but in fact it was pretty short, and the kiwi guide... More

Loved every minute of our visit. Got to feed a crocodile, hold a koala and hold a baby crocodile. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We got very close to the kangaroos and wallabies and even managed to stroke a very friendly adult kangaroo. We went on a week day during school term time and the park was very quiet,... More

This was fantastic value for money. Arrive in time for the first crocodile show at 11:00 and not leave before the second croc show at 3:00. We could not believe how daring, exciting and informative the shows were. You will not be disappointed. This blew us away! Enjoy a boat ride to see yet more crocs and have lunch there.... More

The park isn't particularly big but the staff are very friendly and happy to stop and chat with visitors. The park is clean and tidy with plenty of room for kids to run around. We were interested in the crocs and the cruise around. It did not disappoint. Great commentary by the guide navigating the boat. He was amusing and... More

Many thanks Debbie. Given we cover over 10 hectares, one would think that's large enough for most people. Nonetheless, very much appreciate your recommendation. More

This is the second time we have visited Hartley's, both times taking visitors from overseas who were keen to see crocodiles in their natural habitat. There is so much to see including the "Feeding the Crocs' show which is fun and very interesting as you learn a lot about them. We then took a boat ride followed by a tour... More

Had a brilliant fun and informative day out. Fantastic crocodile shows and a marvellous boat trip. Great close ups of these amazing beasts. Special thanks to Lee and Jesse for their bravery in the croc show and boat trip. Also to the great guy who did the talk on snakes. The koala keeper was so lovely and obviously loves her... More

Made it to Hartley's 24 hours after arriving from the states. All the events kept us very awake. Did the Breakfast with the Koala event and the wife had her picture taken holding a Koala. She is thrilled with this place. Croc show was great. All the staff is friendly and helpful. A must stop in the Cairns area.

The boat ride with crocodile feeding is definitely the best. The crocodile attack show and snake show are also great. Kids enjoyed feeding kangaroos and wallabies. Keep in mind that the admission is actually a 3 day pass. No need to rush around.

Ver good advice there Bec. Yes you can stretch out your visit if you self drive over three days. Also if you are going to stay up in the Daintree, Cape Tribulation or Cooktown and will be returning later than that, just ask our staff to put the return date on it. More
