Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s November - it’s 29 degrees at 630am - it’s time to walk up Kelly’s knob.

We drove as far as we could before taking the big walk first.
It’s steep, uneven and barely ‘steps’ in places. Handrail is ropey in places too.
Well worth a visit for the view but take heed of the warning signage.
If you’re uneasy with heights or edges, do not attempt.
Can access with standard drive car. Tarmaced all the way up.
The smaller look-out is equally uneven in places but is barely 20 steps high.

Nice plaque to some lost-lives too which makes you appreciate the view a little more.

It is an easy access to the lookout at the carpark but if you want the best views take the steep track to the towers

Easy to get to by car, great sunset spot for a picnic, plenty of places to sit and enjoy. Just remember the early sunsets in Winter!

The view is worth any effort.
The peak is accessible from a car park about half way up. From there the walk terrain varies but there is a clear path. It is rocky with rocky steps, some cemented for stability. There are a couple of very steep sections towards the top which have stairs. I’ve done this walk in about 8 mins but average would be 15 minus or so if you take plenty of stops for the views.

All that said, if you don’t have a car it’s about 40-50 mins to the top from the middle of town if you have average level of fitness.

Sunrise and sunset there is amazing.

If you're pushed for time but need a quick but hard workout then Kelly's Knob is the way to go. I was almost on hands and knees every time I climbed it but my recovery time was quicker so I knew I was doing good. Less than a 5 minute drive from the town centre. Well worth the hike.

The walk to the top is very steep and involves ladders, but a great spot to enjoy the sunset. There is a spot near the car park that also affords great views. And is easier to walk once it becomes dark.

Well at start there are signs to keep people out but is the only way to top. Is a good solid climb all the way up. The last sections are via stairs and need to be somewhat shore footed. View is spectacular and as we went at sun set was great for some photos.

To do this walk you have to be relatively fit. Rather tricky towards the top end. I would do the Mini Bungles walk first then see how much puff you have left to tackle this 1. Well worth it if you make it to the top.

We did the shorter and smaller walk to the lookout but was impressed with the views. This would appear to be a popular spot at sunset so get there early for parking as the car park filled quite rapidly while we were there.

We drove a car to the car park and climbed to the top for a sunset view. There are railings to assist people to get up and down the steps. Theres an ugly tower and other infrastructure there. The view was very good snd well worth the effort!
