Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you're pushed for time but need a quick but hard workout then Kelly's Knob is the way to go. I was almost on hands and knees every time I climbed it but my recovery time was quicker so I knew I was doing good. Less than a 5 minute drive from the town centre. Well worth the hike.

The walk to the top is very steep and involves ladders, but a great spot to enjoy the sunset. There is a spot near the car park that also affords great views. And is easier to walk once it becomes dark.

Without a car in Kununurra, this hike was so close to town that we got up early to skip the heat and started our walk from our accommodation. Only a 20 minute walk from the middle of town this mountain towers over Kununurra. We missed the sunrise but locals say sunrise or sunset from the top is absolutely spectacular. The walk takes you on a steep incline via numerous rocky steps to the summit where you get 360 degree views of Kununurra town and surrounds. Watch the hawks below circling their prey. Another one of our hikes that take your breath away.

The most obvious point on the Kununurra skyline, Kelly's Knob naturally also offers the best views over the township, lake, and orchards of the Ord River, as well as Mirima National Park. There are very good views to the north and west after a short stroll from the carpark half way up. A further, harder walk to the top will be further rewarded. Some of that is steep, and up flights of metal stairs. Take water and wear a hat. Worth it though. Best at dawn and sunset.

We drove a car to the car park and climbed to the top for a sunset view. There are railings to assist people to get up and down the steps. Theres an ugly tower and other infrastructure there. The view was very good snd well worth the effort!

We traveled up to lookout this week. It was a short drive, then a reasonable walk/climb to the top to (2) viewing area’s.

There was lots of smoke and some of the logs were still burning from the recent fires 🔥 this made the walking track a bit tricky.

The views at the top were good.

Sadly we passed a memorial for (3) young local girls who died in a helicopter crash in the bungle bungles in 2008.

Worth the trip for the view.

Well at start there are signs to keep people out but is the only way to top. Is a good solid climb all the way up. The last sections are via stairs and need to be somewhat shore footed. View is spectacular and as we went at sun set was great for some photos.

To do this walk you have to be relatively fit. Rather tricky towards the top end. I would do the Mini Bungles walk first then see how much puff you have left to tackle this 1. Well worth it if you make it to the top.

Great place to walk and view the surrounding area of Kununurra and beyond. Good views of the Ord River on the outskirts and the town itself
