Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Keith has gained an enormous amount of experience in a lifetime of leadership roles in understanding and overseeing the development of Kununurra.
This vast knowledge has allowed him to develop his strait forward no nonsense views on how the Kimberley irrigation area has developed into a thriving oasis. And even admits that the government got some things right up here at times.
His passion for the area is infectious and
he is not afraid of saying it as it is which is refreshing in today's woke world.

A comprehensive tour of the Ord irrigation area and Kununurra town by our host and driver, Keith, who has lived, worked, and served on the shire council in Kununurra for many years. We learnt a lot about how the town and region functions. A great introduction to the district. The tour doesn’t run every day, so check the website or contact 2K tours before you plan your other events in Kununurra but do not miss this tour.

We found the tour to be interesting and an excellent way to learn about Kununurra and especially the Old River Irrigation Scheme.
Keith was a fountain of knowledge and as a long term resident gave us some great insights into the town.
Definitely a worthwhile tour!

Ivanhoe Crossing was the best. Keith was awesome. Heaps of knowledge. Great variety of stops along the way. If would like to know about the irrigation system in Kununarra then Keith is the man. Pick up drop off service excellent.

Even if you have your own transport, to gain an understanding of what you're looking at and an appreciation of the history of the area, I recommend this tour.

I had a tour-for-one with Anne. Even though there were no other participants for the day, Anne obligingly picked me up and drove me to all the tour sites, providing an extremely interesting commentary the whole way. She has an excellent knowledge of the history of the area, including stories about the local characters that have pioneered the agricultural industries of Kununurra.

If I were to drive past the sandalwood plantation, I would have no idea what I was looking at. It looks like messy scrub with a variety of trees and no rhyme or reason. Add Anne's explanation, and now I can see all the varieties of trees there and why they've been planted.

To enter the local businesses along the way with Anne, and to see the camaraderie that exists amongst the locals, is to gain a little understanding of why people choose to live in such a remote area.

Overall, I think if you were to visit Kununurra and not take a 2K tour, you would leave having seen interesting scenery but with little understanding of the area.

Going on a tour with a long term resident l thought we would get a insight into the area, however a lot of the comments made seemed to be one sided and l must say in this day and age a little embarrassing to listen to -this trip was by far the most disappointing of our month away and the only one where over a 5 hour period you didn't receive a morning or afternoon tea inclusive of the price. Be aware that a visit to the sandalwood factory is a movie presentation and outlet.

We spent Monday on the bus tour around Kununurra with Neil. It was a really enjoyable day/morning where we learnt heaps about Kununurra and its growth both in the past and plans for the future. Neil's delivery was passionate and personal. His love for his town its people and the region was fabulous. Thoroughly enjoyed our yummy lunch at The Hoochery and their tour by Margaret was again passionate and very well delivered. A great way to learn about Kununurra and see some of its beauty.

This is a very informative tour explaining everything about Kununurra and the surrounding areas. Keith told us so much about the sandalwood plantations and how the topographical and environmental landscape has changed in the town's short lifetime. It was all very interesting.
