Amazing adventure tour that covers so much the area has to offer.
The flight up the Ord River, over Lake Argyle, around the Bungle Bungles and then land and walk into Cathederal Gorge. Our local Indigenous guide Bec was very funny informative. Kingfisher put on a great light lunch while Bec sang a couple of native songs which sound awesome in the gorge. Our pilot Nick then flew us back over Argyle Diamond mine to Kununurra - his commentry was great.
Recomend this to everyone - to see it from the air and on the ground is the only way to go.

We had a great time on our tour Kingfisher Tour to Mitchell falls! It was an action packed day with the plane ride over to Mitchell Plateau, the helicopter ride over the falls and a walk around the waterfalls, followed by a swim and a delicious lunch. We loved the opportunity to see some Aboriginal art, and get some fascinating info about the bush from our guide, Mick. Particularly love the company's focus on sustainability. Love that they provided us lunch in reusable lunch packs and had reusable water bottles for us to take for the day. Great day!

Last week we had a day trip to Purnululu (Bungle Bungle ranges) with Air Kimberley based out of Darwin.

Kingfisher Tours, a local community business, conducted the ground component of the trip, which was a two kilometre walk to Cathedral Gorge. We were very lucky to have Rebecca, from the local indigenous community, as our guide on the walk. She was amazing, able to provide insights into the area from her mob’s perspective and their learnings of having lived in that Country for millennia. Our small group really enjoyed her stories, and sense of humour. She also ensured that we had frequent breaks and water stops during the walk, as the temperature was around 43°C, as well as driving the vehicle.

All our group found this to be a fantastic trip and highly recommend Kingfisher Tours.

Note that if you do this walk it is considered to be a high risk walk, not because of the territory but because of the absence of water and the high temperature. There are a few places where you need to step up on rocks but somebody that is mostly mobile should be able to cope.

Thank you for your generous review, Bec is definitely the guide to have in the Bungle Bungle, she has trained all of our guides and it is great touring with local Aboriginal guides. You definitely struck a hot hot day so well done ! You will be glad to hear the temperatures have gone down to 34 with a light breeze so we will continue touring through to the end of September, with alot of care of course with water and rest stops and hydrolytes. We thought we might start calling it the chux tour!

Kingfisher staff from reservations to management, pilots and tour guides were helpful and wonderful people who went above and beyond. The flight over Purnululu was amazing and the tour led by traditional custodian Bec Sampi was awe-inspiring.
I highly recommend Kingfisher tours.

This tour was the highlight of our Kimberley trip and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family. The tour guide was friendly and shared some really interesting sights and information as we trekked to the falls. The pilot ace our flight very comfortable. All in all, a fabulous day. Thank you!

We were joined by Bec from Kingfisher Tours at the Airstrip at Purnululu National Park. The land tour was organised by Air Kimberley who flew us from Broome to The Bungle Bungles. Air Kimberley were excellent & supplied us with delicious snacks & a magnificent picnic lunch. Our pilot Flynn provided an informative commentary on interesting sights as we flew over them.
Bec, a local Gija woman, welcomed us with morning tea, including her freshly baked delicious damper. We then drove with her for approx 15mins to the Bungle Bungles. Her tour was incredible. Not only did we learn about the rock formations, but also her culture, customs, ceremonies & history. When Bec sang a Welcome to Country for us at Cathedral Gorge, another 2 tour groups nearby suddenly fell silent & listened. They like us were transcended to another world. We were certainly fortunate to have Bec from Kingfisher Tours as our guide through The Bungle Bungles. The other tour groups were lucky to be nearby & enjoy Bec's Welcome.

Highly recommend Kingfisher Tours and especially the tour provided by Aunty Bec. It was a true privilege to walk gently with Aunty Bec on her Country and hear stories and songs about Country, family and culture. It was a special day and one we won't forget.

I had the pleasure of experiencing Mitchell Falls as my first ever Kimberley tour with Kingfisher tours. This tour was undeniably incredible, from the stunning flight from Kununurra, helicopter flight to the top and beautiful treck down the falls was just phenomenal. Getting to hear and learn from your guides Kollya and Bec, our very own indigenous peoples was second to none. Stories of culture, rock art, history and family. I couldn’t recommend kingfisher tours more! Do yourself a favour and put this on your must do list!

A really interesting flight over Lake Argyle, Bungle Bungles and Argyle diamond mine. Our pilot was excellent. Felt very safe and he was very knowledgeable snd informative. My only negative was that it was a really hot day and we travelled in a tiny 6 seater plane with no aircon. It became extremely warm inside which made me feel a bit queasy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Purnululu with Bec. Her tales of her Grandma and how she used to travel the area were fascinating and informative. Bec showed us plants that were used for flavouring foods as well as perfumes. We saw the various places used for different purposes such as storing food, birthing or just meeting and having a yarn. Bec also explained the meaning of the rock art we saw. We recommend a tour with Kingfisher without reservation and will always remember our morning with Bec.

Thanks so much for your review, it is a fantastic tour, and we love that everyone leaves with a much deeper understanding of the country and culture of the Gidja people in Purnululu.
