Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We absoulutely loved our Dam to Dam 4WD & crusie combo tour with Ian at HOT Tours, and as we were the only passengers even more personalised. Ian has lots of interesting facts and history of the area, and took us to places we would never try to do ourselves - 4wd climbed rocky mountains, through creeks, along rock beds, and tracks to get closer to everything. Our tour was based around the Ord River dams and Lake Argle, and everything inbetween. Ian supplied a gorgeous fresh morning tea on the river bed edge watching out for crocs, and the day ended with a cruise on Lake Argyle which included drinks and nibbles while swimming in the middle of the lake at sunset. Such an amazing day to end our trip to the Kimberleys.

We were Ian's only passengers on our trip around Kununurra. Our first stop was Mirima, a mini Bungle Bungle outside the town. Ian was very concerned with our welfare as we walked to the lookout and amphitheatre to take in the wonderful views. Loved seeing the bower bird creation. We enjoyed a delicious morning tea at Ivanhoe Crossing before viewing the huge number of Aboriginal rock paintings and carvings. Ian was very knowledgeable and when we spied a local kookaburra in a tree he gave a recording of their unusual call. Very enjoyable day out.

We went on 2 tours, Gibb River Road Wet n Wild and the Kununurra Sunset Circuit. Both were excellent. Ian Harvey knows his stuff and the off road 4WD was great fun. Ian is passionate about sharing his knowledge and love of the Kimberly and the morning tea on the wet n wild tour and nibbles/drinks on the sunset tour were awesome. Would thoroughly recommend these tours to anyone. Mike and Claire

A great way to see the local geography, we enjoyed a fabulous 4WD tour of the local region culminating in spectacular sunset 4WD adventure. Private small group tour. You get to visit lots of areas in the 3 hour trip and enjoy a glass of bubbles and nibbles at Sunset!

We went on the 6 hour Secret Springs tour with Ian and had a magnificent time getting well and truly off the beaten track to see three beautiful springs and of course the mighty Ord River. We even had a freezing swim in Valentine Spring to ourselves! Delicious morning tea with a superb home made hummus. It was very personal with just our family of 4 spending time with a local. The perfect sort of tour.

Ian took us to Secret Springs for a real 4WD experience over rocky waterways and gullies. Ian ensured we entered the Secret Springs safely enjoying a swim in the warm water from the gushing waterfall. Ian provided a delicious morning tea in the bush surrounded by huge Boab trees. We had a fabulous time.

This small group 4WD tour of off road sites around Kununurra was amazing. Ian was very knowledgeable about the history of the district & knows his way around so we spent a minimum amount of time on the main roads, doing most of our travelling on old roads or short cuts. This gave us access to spots that you probably wouldn’t visit even if you had a 4WD. Add to that gourmet morning & afternoon teas ( we didn’t need lunch) made for a great day. Ian was also pretty good with local flora & fauna - we even munched on a Kapock flower. Highly recommended!

What a morning! From the time we climbed into Ian’s Toyota troop carrier until we were dropped off at the Country Club Hotel in Kununurra, my wife and I were treated like royalty! Ian is very focused and is passionate about the history of Kununurra. The bush morning tea was amazing and we could have sat there looking up at the rocks all day and talk about the bush around us. The places Ian took us to were spot on and would not be seen doing it on ones own. When next in Kununurra we will do a full day tour with Ian.

We really enjoyed this tour. Kununurra is such an interesting and varied place and this tour in a 4 wheel drive enabled us to see and experience it in ways we would not otherwise be able to do. Ian is a very knowledgeable gude and attentive host too.
The highlight was the sunset viewing. We are so glad we opted for this tour.

Enjoyed 2 tours with Ian of Hot Tours. Welcome to Kununurra gave a good overview of the area.
Ord-King Waterways was wonderful. Off the beaten track to Middle Springs, Parry Lagoon bird hide, Black Rock Falls and so much more. Then a delicious morning tea beside the Family Boab, best barra pie at the Wyndham bakery,,and a surprise afternoon tea at a lookout on way back to Kununurra.
Would thoroughly recommend.
