Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What an amazing way to end our few weeks in the Kimberley. Thanks to Macca and Carol for such a well organised and accomodating experience. Such a relaxed setting, awesome views, sensational night sky and topped off with the outdoor shower experience. Well appointed home for the 3 days with back to basics family fun with canoes, fishing, swimming, card games and croc spotting.
Thanks again guys we will surely be back again.

Sensational time on the upper Ord River. The views from every part of the houseboat are just fabulous. The family enjoyed swimming off the boat, relaxing, making great meals, kayaking, the walk to a beautiful waterfall at Herbie's hideaway and the swim there very special. The houseboat so comfortable and well equipped. Such a memorable time. The family has already requested a re-book! Thank you.

We loved this! The accommodation was great. The boat has all mod cons and we could just concentrate on swimming, kayaking and eating. No internet was a bonus. The night sky was sublime. Happy to recommend this.

Amazing relaxation, totally off grid but with everything you need! 2nd time around for us and we will be back! The weather, the scenery, the boat itself, the kayaks and Wally the dinghy made our stay just beautiful. Best kept secret on the planet 🤫

A truly amazing experience. From the ride out in the tender with Macka to arrive at the fabulous houseboat in the pristine waters of the Upper Ord....we were all beside ourselves!!! One of the best holidays I have ever had. Kayaking, swimming, drinks on the upper deck with the sunset etc etc. We had baby Bonnie 3mths old.....no probs at all. So so peaceful and relaxing out there . Mackay is a delight and so helpful. I would go again!

My husband & I had the most fantastic 4 nights off the grid, on the furthermost mooring up the Ord River on the Kimberley Dreaming! We (he) caught fish for dinner; paddled up and down stream; took the "tinny" for a tonker further upstream. The magnificence of the every-changing colours took my breath away. Before sunrise and just after sunset, when the wild life is waking up or settling down for the evening, was probably my most favourite time of the day (oh the serenity). We didn't use the inside shower - why would you when you can shower on the back deck! Everything that you think you may need was there - we wanted for nothing ... thanks Carol & Maka & Jacque & Mark ... what a wonderful experience you've created.

What a great experience. Impressive and comfortable Kimberley Dreaming houseboat which was moored near Sandy Creek on the magnificent Ord River. Scenery was magic and absolutely breathtaking - aged cliffs and outcrops that took you back in time, vegetation with inquisitive birds and wildlife and all this to your exclusive self. Nobody around, only the sounds of nature at its best. Travelled as a family of 4 over 4 days, the boat was very comfortable. Swimming fishing, kayaking and the added bonus of Whaly the dinghy to scoot up and down the river to check out other parts was fantastic. Maka and his crew offered a great service, handling the transfer with great tips before and after the journey. Very reluctant review as I'd like to keep this boat a secret as we'll be back and need it to be available!

We had an amazing break away from our busy lives on the Kimberley Dreaming on Lake Kununurra. We chose the remote, off-grid mooring and couldn't have been more in awe of the landscape, lake and scenery. It truly is a magical place. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, swimming and exploring the nearby Sandy Creek and Herbies Hideaway. The houseboat itself is well equipped to cater for most whims and needs - it was clean and comfortable and is in the process (I believe) of being improved further which will enhance an already enjoyable and comfortable experience. The hosts Carol and Maka were accommodating and friendly. We feel recharged and hope to visit again soon.

An adventure of a lifetime on the elegant and beautifully comfortable Kimberley Dreaming houseboat. Moored on the magical Ord River surrounded by red cliffs and verdant vegetation teeming with wildlife, opportunities for fishing, kayaking and relaxation, the houseboat offers everything you can imagine and more for a very memorable experience. The customer service offered by Maka is superb too, as is his GoWild canoe adventure. Highly recommended especially for two couples.

A fantastic 4 days spent on the spacious and comfortable kimberley dreaming
houseboat. We had everything we needed for our relaxing stay in the rugged and remote ord river mooring locations. The swimming, fishing, kayaking and hanging out watching the wildlife go about their business was restorative. We were there just on the dark moon phase and the night sky was ablaze with stars which reflected from the still water making the whole place seem surreal. The photography opportunities were exceptional.
