A very special tour with Ted Hall introducing us to the culture and stories of the region. We flew over the bungle bungles on a fantastic flight with amazing views of the area and landed in the soon to be decommissioned argyle diamond mine site. Met by Ted and hosted over lunch, a tour and then a drive back to Kununurra, we could not have asked for a better day or a better experience and guide. Thanks Ted and team for a truly special experience.

With the imminent closure of the mine I decided to do the tour and was glad I did. Our guide, Rebecca, was very knowledgeable and funny and made the tour most enjoyable.
It was interesting to see the scale of the operation.
The mine is closing November 3, so do the tour if you can.

Ted Hall picked us up in Kununurra for a trip to the Argyle Diamond Mine. He was fabulous, shared so much about his culture, his history and the growth of the area. Pointing out the landmarks and significance to his people was so interesting.
Once at the Mine, he was very informative and knowledgeable. . The included lunch was delicious and it was great to see the village. The mine is closing soon so I would highly recommend doing this tour if you are able.

This tour is so excellent I can’t even find words to describe it. We were flown to Warmun by our competent pilot Tim where we were picked up in a minibus by Ted Hall to take us to the Argyle Diamond Mine
Tedd is a wonderful guide who is very knowledgeable and passionate about his 'backyard'. He makes the tour very interesting in the way he explains everything. He has a wealth of knowledge about the operations of the Diamond Mine besides other things and the lunch he provided was very tasty as we sat in the undercover pergola area of the Mine staff amenities.
After the Diamond tour Tedd drove us to Lake Argyle to meet up with Greg to be taken on a sunset cruise on Lake Argyle.
It is a full day of adventure.
If there is one tour you must do it definitely is this one. The Diamond Mine will close in 3 years so there won’t be anymore tours there after that.

Thankyou Pepi , we really appreciate you taking the time in providing the feedback , the Jaliwang Journey is a new tour for this year, and it is the story of the Barramundi that Ted wanted to share with guests into Miriuwung country , and Luridgii working with our partners we feel that we have provided one of the most delightful tours in the North East Kimberley. Thanks again!

This tag-a-long tour (ie you need your own 4WD) was absolutely sensational. Ted and his
team guided us through the Dreamtime stories, the real history of this magic country and allowed us the time to soak up the heavenly scenery. A MUST DO tour when in the East Kimberley. A true privilege- thanks so much Ted - we loved our day!

Thank you Ted, for your informative sessions, discussions and local tour. A great introduction to Kununurra, and Kimberley culture, the land and the people. I particularly enjoyed the Muntha, Welcome to Country, and feel that it has made a difference to my understanding, and deepened my respect and appreciation for the culture, the history, the people and the places. The discussions and information sessions, I found to be authentic, honest and frank, with stories, real examples, and experiences relayed to illustrate the commentary.
The brief, proffered that "participants can ask any questions" ... and we did... Ted genuinely welcomed, the exchanges, and questions were taken in context, without prejudice, interpreted, explored and discussed expertly and professionally.
Thank you Ted Hall, an enlightening and enriching cultural experience.

This was truely a once in a lifetime experience, and an absolute must do if you are in the East Kimberley. Ted Hall's cultural awareness training was informative and engaging and helped me better scratch the surface at understanding local aboriginal culture. It was great being on country and I felt very safe navigating the bush with Ted's guidance. Camping under the stars and relaxing by the fire was magical! Ted's local knowledge is priceless and this is eco-tourism at its finest.

Thanks so much for your review , we are expanding the tour product this year to include the Jaliwang Journey , please check out our website , to see. The big news for us is that we are improving the camping area and facilities and building a fantastic stock camp outside kitchen as well. So we expect you back some time soon to tell us what you think.

We really enjoyed Ted's tour of the Argyle Diamond Mine. He was extremely knowledgeable, interesting and engaging in telling us both about the operation of the mine and the Miriuwung history of the area. We were also very ably and enjoyably told about Kununurra and its surrounds by Julian on the way to the mine. Highly recommended!

We did Ted's "Tag Along" tour at Easter 2017 and it was simply fantastic. A convey of 6 4WD vehicles through the back-country of Kununurra, on his family's traditional lands which are now back in family ownership. Ted (with his helpers Diane and Warren) gave us a running commentary via radio on historical and topographical points of interest, and we stopped regularly for personal briefings. Suffice to say some of the history surrounding the forced removal of his parents from their ancestral land to make way for pastoralists is devastatingly sad, and yet Ted is amazingly positive and forward looking and unconsumed by bitterness which would be entirely justified and understandable. Several hours into the tour we arrived at a billabong fed from a small creek which emerged from a very narrow gorge, and we got to swim up a series of pristine pools in the gorge. And for those who like to get their truck dirty - there were plenty of rough spots and creek crossings!

A very long but utterly unforgettable day, and one which cannot be recommended highly enough. I hope Ted's business continues to grow, and that Diane and Warren grow with it.

One tip for Ted though - tell your customers to bring lunch!

Thank you for your kind words, it was a fantastic day and it is great to be able to show people my country and tell them the stories of my elders and current day aspirations. We do state in the brochure to byo your food and drinks for the day, however I take your point and we will make sure that for the Tagalong tour everyone is aware to bring along lunch and if they are camping overnight dinner and breakfast. We look forward to you visiting us again. Perhaps for one of our combos for the Jaliwang Argyle Diamond Mine Tour and a day up the Ord river or a morning flight over the bungle bungle , lake argyle and the Argyle Diamond Mine , before joinng the bus for an exclusive tour around t Argyle Diamond Mine.

Touring Miriuwung country with Traditional Owners Ted and Maddy Hall was a phenomenal privilege and experience.

The day started with a traditional welcome to country at Second Gorge just past Mandangala Community. The swim in the gorge was stunning, followed by a drive west through some amazing country toward Lake Argyle, where Ted showed us some art work left by his ancestors - all very very special. The Argyle Diamond Mine was a spectacular end to the day. This tour has definitely been a highlight of my time in the Kimberley - I cannot thank Ted and Maddy enough.
