Complete waste of time: they are discriminating women (woman are not allowed to enter nothing there as if they would be awfull creatures) and they are closed from 12 to 3 pm. Definately not worth to go there or even donate to this arrogant middle...More

We were quite looking forward to visiting the monastery atop the mountain rumoured to contain a segment of the holy cross, but my interest faded when I learned that no women are allowed beyond the front gate. This is made even more absurd by the...More

We spotted the monastery from the road on our way to Larnca and we felt we had to get there. Although only man could get into the monastery, the view from the outside was well worth it. A short ride to the top of the...More

While there has been negative comments in reviews about access for the ladies, the strict dress code for men and the total ban on photography it has to be recognised that this is a working monastery and they have the right to impose their own...More

Hi, You won't be able to go into the monastery itself, but it's worth going up just for the views from the top! Hope this helps, Christine
