National Trust Property. Corn mill with original wooden machinery in a peaceful riverside setting. Open afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays only from Easter to October. Very informative guided visits and a lovely river location near the oldest bridge in Dorset.

The small knowledgeable staff of the National Trust's White Mill is throughly devoted to its ongoing preservation. It's all low key , unhurried and cozy, especially given better seasonal and midweek circumstances. We get a feel not only for the yesteryear work itself but a...More

We visited on the day England played Sweden in the World Cup quarter-finals. We were the only visitors at that time so we had a personal guided tour. We visit many National Trust and English Heritage estates and I sometimes find the large houses overly...More

White Mill is on the old Kingston Lacy estate and is a well preserved mill on the Stour. Most of the machinery is intact and the mill guide was very informative. The adjacent bridge is over 800 years old and well worth seeing.

Wow! This is an amazing little gem of a place! A substantial amount of pre-industrial revolution machinery still remains in situ, and the guides are incredibly knowledgeable. Well worth a visit.

We popped in here after spending the day Kingston Lacey, just 10 minutes away. Due to it being such a small attraction I think it often gets overlooked but that makes it a great place to visit if you want a quiet, personal tour. We...More

Lovely old mill not surprisingly next to a river! Interesting tour inside and small grounds are pleasant adjacent to the river. Close to NT Kingston Lacy estate and Barford Farm icecream, for some nice home made icecream. You can walk along the river either side...More
