This is not a "bad" walk from the Cultural Center to the Mala car park, but it is much less informative than starting at the car park and walking part of the base trail.

I did the full walk around the rock, its around 3.5 hours and about 10.5km's. Best to start as early as possible as it gets really hot and in some areas there isn't any shade. It is well worth it. The walk is flat so...More

Liru was a short easy hike. I visited in August and the flowers were beautiful. Take water and watch out for bicycles.

We untook the walk right around Uluru and while it is a long walk, the experience is wonderful. We did it without a guide but still found many points of interest and information panels. The waterholes and rock art are amazing.

A quite short walk at the base of Uluru, but quite pretty with water catchments and an interesting perspective of the rock

One of the shorter self guided walks. Not much to see on the way but the end destination of the rock makes it a worthwhile outing. Flat walking surface and do not forget the fly spray.

A 2km walk between base of rock and cultural centre . Can be hot and dusty so carry water . Flat and easy to walk with views of the rock along the way.

Walking all tracks around the base of Uluru is highly recommended for all visitors. There are shorter walks like the Liru Walk which has information for visitors on the flat walkway. Definitely a great way to get up close and take in the enormity of...More
