Cicada Lodge organised a helicopter flight for us. Five minutes away Matt the pilot took us through a safety briefing and off we flew over the 13 gorges, landing at the 10th and then along the escarpment to see Crystal Falls. Quite magnificent from the...More

We booked onto the 2 hour cruise, lovely leisurely floating down the gorge with informative commentary. Lots of opportunities to get up and close to see various features and the waterfalls. So glad we did it. Run by the local indigenous people. Had an excellent...More

Many thanks for your review and recommendation - we agree that the wet season is one of the best times to experience the Gorge - and almost have it to yourself!

The gorge is the standout attraction. Thankfully the local aboriginals fought for over 11 tears for custody of this remarkable area. Their care will maintain this asset for future generations. It is a very spiritual and peaceful place well worth the trip.

It's prearranged on the train or when you purchase your tickets for the Ghan. They drop off the guests who aren't going on tours at the Katherine Information Centre and then carry onto the Gorge for the cruise.
