The walk up to Maguk is not that difficult although it is quite rocky. It is a very picturesque valley and the main pool and waterfall are beautiful. We visited in the dry season and the falls were still flowing quite steadily. You can take...More

I fell in love with Maguk the moment I saw the emerald green water! The 2 km return walk to the water hole can present a little challenge to some especially on a hot day, but it was well worth it if you keep going...More

Well worth visiting although the road might not suit all vehicles. Lovely walk down to swimming area.

This waterfall was so easy to get to, it is a good idea to wear shoes or boots as you are rock hopping a little. Make sure you bring plenty of water as it can be quite hot on the walk. The walk is about...More

We preferred this pool to Jim Jim. Still has a waterfall in September, unlike Jim Jim and much more accessible both in terms of driving and hiking. Also a prettier and sunnier swimming spot.

Worth the visit. Really pretty and a great place to spend the day if you can. Bring a picnic and relax.

4wd access only. 10kms off the main road. Road is rough and definitely not worth trying in a 2wd car. Lots of parking and toilets. Quite a walk to the falls but definitely worth the effort. One of the best places in Kakadu. The water...More
