The short hike (2-3km) up to the waterfall and back to the parking lot was open in the wet season. The falls were flowing so much, we got a couple of great photos. We also walked down to the base of the falls and over...More

Having missed a chance to swim at the pools in Litchfield (a shame) we decided to go to Maguk. While we are not afraid of a longish walk, we were unprepared for the rough, uneven rocky, boulder strewn path to this pool. One of our...More

Enjoyable and adventurous walk to the gorge. Over rocks, sand and uneven terrain so good shoes are very welcome. Once at the gorge it is as beautiful as the photos and water is lovely. Didn't bring a snorkel but would have been nice to have....More

After a 10 km corrugated gravel road park the car and walk to the gorge. The initial track is easy but the rocks you clamber over just before the gorge require sure footedness. Swim in the gorge and look up at the waterfall that runs...More

This place was a hidden gem recommended by the ranger at garammar camp ground. It was the best swimming hole we had visited where we did not have to trek for over an hour. Nice place.

FANTASTIC!! 10km bumpy dirty road to get there and then about a 600m walk across some pretty rocky areas, BUT when you get there you are greeted with a fantastic almost circular gorge, waterfall and pristine crystal clear water. A perfect place for a swim....More

Maguk Gorge was the highlight of our visit to the NT. The walk in is a fabulous tropical surround and the waterfall and pool are stunning. It was an absolute delight to swim in this pristine place.
