Wonderfully picturesque billabong just south of Nourlangie Rock. Well worth the small detour! Plenty of birdlife and water-lilies. Would have loved to have walked around for longer but time was against us!

My husband and I stopped off here to do a hike after a 2-day stay at Cooinda Lodge (we highly recommend) and this hike was a delight.

This place is a paradise, we took our 2 young boys (1and3) to explore and they had a wonderful time. We saw paperbark swamp, fresh water mangroves, waterbirds, and amazing fringing woodlands. Make sure to take plenty of water and a picnic, picnic tables are...More

Amazing picturesque waterhole which is starting to dry so heaps of birds enjoying the fish with a seriously big 4m croc gently swimming through being ignored by all, excellent spot for bird watching - take a stool and decent lens and beware of crocs.

Such a lovely walk through bushland to this spot. There is a well used sheep track to follow and its not too hilly, easy for kids. The water hole was refreshing and welcome after our walk.

Easy walk around a nice billabong, shoreline seemed to be horribly torn up by buffalo leaving that bovine smell around. Lots of birds and flora to look at.

The walk was flat and short, with lots of shade. Saw lots of water birds and my husband got some great photographs of Spoonbills.
