Absoutely beautiful. Very popular. 1 Dairy, 1 Pub Swimming info very important: Swim between the flags it is known for its rips and strong drag. Unless you're a local like myself always swum between the flags. Great surf life saving team.

Hawkes Bay's favourite beach to go to in summer to swim. There is a dairy/fish n chip shop not far from the beach where everyone goes to for food. Waimarama Beach day is held here during the summer.
