We've enjoyed our last full afternoon in Nelson in this lovely museum: We were just overwhelmed by the richness of the wearable art ... Do not miss it. The car museum is gorgeous as well, but the Wearable Art is very special..

a great display of fascinating works of art, and the car museum was "better than I expected" according to hubby! Really good range of cars and information, plenty to keep car fans interested as well as those more keen on the arty side of the exhibit

I wasn't happy with the small number of WOW work on display considering the history of WOW shows, but for classic car fans, you can't beat this place. I'm not at all interested in cars and I was in awe.

It was so much better that I thought it would be. On show are pieces made for the 2016 WOW awards and they were incredible. So well set out as you can meander through the designs and it was so wonderful to be able to look at the detail up close. As well as the WOW costumes there are two... More

Awesome costumes- amazing designs and so unique. The work (and creative thought) that has gone into them is amazing. That you can get up so close and see them and photo them is brilliant. The car museum there is great as well - some awesome cars incl 100yr+ in amazing condition. Shop had some lovely things at decent prices for... More

Excellent representations of wearable art. Really the creativity is boundless, a visual feast. Then onto the cars, so many beautiful cars kept in mint condition, plus an assortment of engines and motorbikes for added interest. Lovely little coffee shop with alfresco dining available.

This visit had many of the winning costumes from the 2016 show in Wellington. It was a great opportunity to see these close up and to appreciate the amount of work that goes into these that is often missed from the audience view point in the show. I loved that we could see the costumes close up rather than from... More
