Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A cosy place ideal for young children. Easy to spend a couple of hours at the gardens or with the animals. Been there during summer and not too crowdy.

Astonishingly beautiful gardens! Feeding fish in the pond of the English Garden was a hit! Lots of playground space and good time with tamed animals, although we would wish there was a bit more attention from the staff on how guests interact with animals.

This is a very relaxing and beautiful experience to visit these awesome gardens. There is 5 different theme gardens. A Japanese garden, an english country-garden, a danish staude-garden, a monestry-garden and a perma-garden.
My own favorite is absolutely the japanese garden. Such peace and calm here with the beautiful lake and small places to sit and relax.
But also the english garden is fantastic with its luxuriantnes and colours. But go there for yourself and discover. The danish staude-garden is also breathtaking, with the great view over the fields, and the very large plants covering you from all sides.

We have visited this place both in the summertime and in the autumn. In the summertime there's a overflow of beautiful flowers.
The kids can ride an ATV.
There was a semi tame deer running around in the garden nipping of the plants.
The garden is divided into different zones. The Japanese one is really serene.
In the autumn vacation there was a candle lights everywhere in the garden. Really beautiful.
There was a scary treasure hunt.
In the restaurant there was a monster burger buffet.
The burger buns was colored in blue, red, orange and green.
Big hit with our kids.
I would highly recommend a visit here.

A wonderful place to stroll, sit, relax, and enjoy a very good Danish open sandwich lunch. The gardens are beautiful and it's a very peaceful and relaxing attraction. Plenty of seating, easy to walk round, and recommended as a restful, alternative day after visiting busy Copenhagen.

The Japaneese inspired garden was nice, lots of thing to see, and big. The english/danish garden was a let down. Seemed to bee with little flowers in some of the places and elsewhere under construction. Lots of children as the place also has a lot of activities for them. Not something I would linked with the navn "Birkegaardens gardens", perhaps it should be named Birkegaardens gardens and playground. Just so you dont get dissapointed as we were.
The prarie garden was great, lots os bees and peranuals.
