Interesting. Just as the previous photos show, there is a storch nest in front of the church. Make sure not to miss it. I was there this May and it was there. We enjoyed a short stroll in Sibiel. I recommend also visiting the house made of wood around the village's scale for large animals and also check out the well.

In the village of Sibiel - just a several km away from Sibiu you shall fin the Holy Trinity church - an orthodox church - built in the late 1700's.
The decorations are done by famous local masters of the times - and refurbished in the late 1960's.
The interesting feature - the influence from the catholic church is to be found inside on the frescoes - that are representations of "Pope's" ,very seldom to be found on the decorations of the Orthodox churches.
The custodian - who is also the custodian of the nearby museum - will come a review on that one also - is very helpful in explaining you about the history of the church.
Overall a very interesting spot to stop for a little cultural immersion when you are in the area. Entering the church is free of charge - however donations are welcome.
Don't miss it when you are in Sibiel.

... in a beautiful village. We were met in the church by a local lady who proudly explained the history of the frescoes in the church. Absolutely fascinating.

We enjoyed the looking on this small city by riding a horse caravan old Romanian tradition style. Also we enjoyed the real traditional Romanian lunch cocked by one of the Romanian lady on her house which was about special vegetables soup, cocked chicken with potato and special bickel, traditional bred, sweet bred and special straporrey drink on Romanian style. Also my kids enjoyed the cold spring water coming down from high mountains.
I really recommend to visit this area.
