My partner and l recently travelled on the cable tram, and enjoyed the ride and tour a lot. You can jump on the tram anywhere along the route and buy tickets from the conductor. The tour takes about an hour and a half and very informative. Also if you start from the tram depot you can look around the museum.

What a lovely way to kill an hour. Cruising along the portland foreshore. A small pity the speaker was a bit dodgy as the facts and info we did hear was fascinating. Highly recommend doing this tour to everyone young and old.

Great attraction in Portland the Tram museum worth a look! We went back to the WW2 Museum after the tram ride to see it properly. Not enough time on the tram if you don't want to wait for the next tram. Kids loved it. Scenery stunning.

Just a great way to see some of Portland. The depot has a little info section where you can look at the history of cable trams n Portland. On the tram it doesn't matter where you sit you get a good view. Take a jumper as the wind does get cold. The speakers were not in a good position so... More

We are glad that you enjoyed your ride on our cable tram and the views over Portland harbour. We agree that it can be chilly in the wind and so we have a supply of hand crocheted 'Nana' rugs for anyone who would like to use them. More

The operators were enthusiastic and the tram was quaint. The museum was fun and our young girls liked it. On a slight negative, only had 5 minutes at the WW2 museum. Would have liked longer to see that since we were there already. Seemed a bit rushed.

We had a very enjoyable ride on the cable car. It went around the beach front, took in a lot of landmarks around Portland.

Just a fantastic experience in this small coastal community. This is a community volunteer activity and they take a lot of pride.

Anyone that is new to Portland must do a tour of the town on the tram. Interesting information from the driver, and an unique view of some of the town.
