Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This museum is an enormous credit to the volunteers who run it. The exhibits are beautifully restored and maintained. There are some particularly rare cars and items that you wouldn't expect to find in a provincial museum. Exceptional value but please remember they don't take Eftpos.

As with other small car museums, this is a display of local enthusiasts cars, housed here for everyones enjoyment.
A sign next to each gives history, make & model. You never know what you will find in these little museum treasures.

The Portland Vintage Car club must be commended for their cars and presentation of the living museum. the displays are great. The Old videos are unique , staff friendly and most helpful.

Very good car museum run by the Portland Vintage & Classic Car Club. The person on the door was only too pleased to open up anything on the car for us to look at and start a static engine to see it start and run. Infinite patience in answering the myriad of questions.
Easy to get to on the Tram, walking or by car
Low entry price for a couple of hours of looking and nostalgia
The men would find this more interesting especially car buffs

Surprisingly large collection of veteran, vintage and classic cars, trucks and motor cycles. Plus super cheap to visit at $3 adults and $6 per family. Can easily spend 1.5 hrs here and perfect for a rainy day activity. Well worth it!!!

This is a great little Museum , very budget-friendly, costing very little to get in, but they don't have eftpos, so be sure to take some cash. It's not really my thing, but my hubby and kids loved it. There was quite a large range of old cars, as well as other older bits and pieces like signs, pulley systems, old typewriters and telephones ect

I visited here for the first time last week and I must admit I should have visited sooner. The museum is small and well stocked with motoring and engineering memorabilia including garage signs and pumps, fuel and oil cans and both full sized vehicles from the beginning of motoring in Australia to a fine collection of models. Go there and enjoy it. I spent more than an hour wandering through here.
