Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The time tunnel interpretive centre surprised us with the quality of the detail provided We ended up spending more time than we might have predicted. Unfortunately, some aspects of the display are out of date by reference to the, now closed Leigh Creek coal mine.

Well worth a look. The centre is an interactive history of the Port Augusta area. I was really impressed with the layout and enjoyed reading, looking and listening about the history of the area. Need around 2 hours+ to fully explore the display. It does cost to go in but I feel this is good value for money.

The Wadlata Outback Centre is impressive in the variety and quantity of information on offer. It is a modern space with helpful staff and an associated cafe. It is quite expensive, even with the Seniors Discount that is on offer.

The highlight for me was the geography film as you walk in the door. I am a teacher and would love to show this to my class as the way it explains how the continents separated and formed the continents we live in.

Aligned with the Visitors Centre - itself a modern space with helpful staff and an associated cafe, the outback exhibit is informative and well worth a visit. It is quite expensive, even with the Seniors Discount that is on offer. Provides a good background to the region and its history.

The Wadlata Outback Centre is impressive in the variety and quantity of information on offer.
For me to move from a “very good” to “excellent” rating, would be to see their videos captioned to enable their accessibility to a wider audience.
It was great to know that the entry ticket enabled you for a pass out and to return within 12 months. We certainly could have spent more time there given the amount of content to get through - but we were just passing through.

Although interesting. We expected a lot more on Mathew Flinders and more on the pioneering families and establishment civilization of Sth Aust.

Very informative and modern. Many excellent movies to watch and informative displays to view and read. Allow at least two to three hours to visit. Easy parking with caravan. Also a visitor centre. Cost $ 46.30 for 2 adults.
