Booked the Remote Fraser Island and Whale Experience + Half Day Whale Watching Encounter. What fantastic tours!!! Crew were so friendly, knowledgeable and committed to the conservation of whales and other marine species. Great mix of activities on the full day tour, amazing commentary on both days, catering was fabulous and we even got to swim with the humpies from a mermaid line. Highly recommend.

Great day trip to see several whales and some of K'Gari. We went a little early in the season, but still got to see three or four whales playing. The tour guides were knowledgable and gave us some interesting facts. The boat was nice and the refreshments were tasty.

Remote Fraser Island tour has an exceptional team onboard.
They each thoroughly enjoy their jobs, and it shows.
They are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable, with wonderful skills and are ready to provide guests with the best day, filled with fun.
Extremely well managed time allows guests to be immersed in each experience at the various locations.
There is plenty of great food to keep you sustained for the day, be as relaxed or adventurous as you choose.
Huge thanks to Lloyd, Caroline, Harmony, Josh and Jack.

This tour exceeded all expectations. We arrived as a family of 9 (some Aussie, some international), including a senior, an infant, a toddler and two children (8 & 12), we also had varied dietary requirements and English literacy, but we all agreed this was the best and most memorable experience. The highlight was the breathtaking, up close and personal experience with the beautiful whales and their calves, with detailed commentary from the crew. We've been on whale tours in NZ and Patagonia, but this was exceptional. At times, the whales were just a few metres from the boat and wow, they really put on a show! We also enjoyed some kayaking with the kids (even bubs) and loved the tubing. The snorkelling was OK but there wasn't much to see, but playing on the white sand beaches and dunes was fab. Now to the crew- they were knowledgeable, hospitable, friendly and professional. The day ran perfectly, as it was well organised and coordinated, but we never felt rushed. The staff went out of their way to cater to all of our needs and helped everyone so we could simply enjoy and take it all in. They thought of every small detail to make the day extra special such as taking candid photos of our family and sending them to us, providing extra special treats for the vegetarians/vegans and kids, and helping when our toddler was feeling a bit seasick. Honestly, every single crew member was exceptional, brought value to the experience and clearly loved their work, which made this a stand-out tour for us. All of the food was awesome. Truly an unbeatable and memorable day for all ages and we cannot recommend it or thank Tasman Venture enough.

Beyond wxpectations. Mother and calf played within 5 m of the boat and another mother, calf and wscort did the same. A few breaches from mums and calves. Also one laid on her back and side slapped with? Fins. All 6 of our adult family were mesmerised.

What an amazing day, the crew worked so hard to make the trip enjoyable. We did kayaking, tube riding and snorkelling, not to mention whale watching galore. Excellent commentary and opportunities for photos, highlight was when they cut the engine and put the microphone in so we could hear the whale song. Exceeded expectations in all aspects, including the morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Fantastic day out to see the majestic hump back whales up close. We were lucky enough to see many of them with their calves putting on a show. The staff were great & lunch provided was nice. The only downfall was that we felt the activities were a little rushed & we did not get to see much of K’gari Island. Overall an amazing experience and I would highly recommend taking this tour.

Yes absolutely! This is a great age for our half day Whale Watching experience. We have a junior whale warrior program available, that would be suitable for your 5 year old. There is morning and afternoon tea included in each tour and we have a full kiosk on board for purchasing anything else you need.

Good morning, during the Hervey Bay Whale Season (13th July - 27th October 2019) we operate our 1 day Remote Fraser Island and Whale experience. This tour offers the opportunity for a whale immersion *conditions permitting*. As long as the environment is safe for both the whales and our passengers, we will be able to offer this unique experience, we can not guarantee this activity on every tour.

Do you do much snorkeling? What are you apt to see in late November? Are wetsuits required for the temperature or because of stingers?

Not much, no, we are are based a fair way inland. I’m also not sure what you will see late November.. I’m not very helpful at all am I?! Wetsuits were for stingers, the water temp was beautiful:)

We offer guests the option of swimming with the whales on our Remote Fraser Island and Whale experience tour. We are unable to offer this experience on our 1/2 day Whale Watching encounters.
Please keep in mind that there are strict conditions that must be met before allowing guests to enter the water with the humpback whales. We are unable to guarantee that we are able to offer this, the decision is made on the day, when the tour is out in the waters and the conditions can be assessed.
