Still a few seals around but much has changed since the earthquake. There is a big rock platform where the rock pools used to be. Amazing difference

A very beautiful and scenic drive to the car park, short walk along the rocks and you come face to face with the fur seals basking in the sunshine. If you wish there is a path to a viewpoint on the top of the cliff...More
With young kids and the inclement weather, whale watching was out. We decided to do the peninsula walk. Everyone enjoyed the 3 hour walk - including my 5 year old. Great views, seal sighting and birds galore on the path. Lovely and highly recommended.
