Stopped in with a local to look at the Hunterwasser scale model...this will be a real tourist draw card when it I see finished! Viewed the accompanying exhibition in the gallery featuring several locally trained artists. Worth a look!

This museum shares premises with the I-Site. When I was there, it had two exhibits, both of which I enjoyed. Since entry is free, it is definitely worth visiting if you pop into the I-Site.

Whangarei has a small but wide-ranging collection of art, paintings, sculpture and decorative art. It has struggled to find a home in recent years, but now its location in The Hub at the Town Basin provides a great venue with easy parking. An active programme...More
