Great spacious design. When we arrived, we stumbled upon the weekend markets. We were surprised to see that all stalls had 100% hand-crafted wares and products. Many weekend markets throughout New Zealand (these-days) contain lacklustre stalls, cheap plastic imports, etc. It was nice to see...More

I understand that it is made by a local artist and that it's a nice looking attraction. It's nice to see when you have done the walk but when all is said and done I honestly don't believe it's worth actually going out of your...More

What a unique piece of architecture and it fits perfectly in the town basin area of Whangarei City. I'm now looking forward to the Hundertwasser Art Museum's construction, which is going to be in the same unique style, nearby.

Went for a small walk after lunch to have another look around this art work. It does have some funky features.

this smaller scale model gives you some idea of the genius of Hunterwasser , the artist who lived in NZ for many years. Whangarei is building a much bigger full size building to house our local and NZ crafts. Definitely worth a visit.
