well worth a visit, just off the beaten track. We will go back when the water lillies are out. Good parking for the motor home. Gardens well maintained but at a natural level so not too manicured, this probably takes more effort than those that are so precise. Woodland full of birds

My friend, who was visiting from overseas, and I visited the gardens on a sunny afternoon and we really enjoyed the different scenery. My friend also wanted to eat mussels and the brochure showed that these were on the menu in the onsite restaurant. She was not disappointed!! Overall we had an enjoyable afternoon.

After several days of adventure, this was a calm reprieve. It was an easy yet rewarding walk. Different at every turn, it featured native and other flowering plants along with waterfalls, ponds, and streams.

We had a great stay at the Rapaura Watergardens. We're here for the World Master's Games #WMG2017 and touring abit beforehand. This was a unique introduction to the verdant foliage of New Zealand. The house was lovely.

Had a walk in Rapaura watergardens and enjoyed it. Weather was perfect and I guess because it was off season, it wasn't busy which made it even more enjoyable. The main attraction for me was the seven stairs to heaven waterfall- beautiful Takes about an hour.

We drove from Whangamata to the gardens (about 1 hr 20 drive) and enjoyed a most pleasant time exploring the gardens, then also did the walk (about 20 mins one way) to the waterfall. Total time spent was 2 hours, which was neither rushed nor too expansive for teenagers who can get bored quickly! We did not purchase anything to... More

Spent a morning looking around these gardens. Beautifully maintained. Walked up to the seven stairs to heaven waterfall. Enjoyed the morning even though it rained most of the time we were there. Had morning tea at the restaurant there. Would recommend.

Don't forget to take your camera as a picture is worth a thousand words. They will give you some food for the ducks and they will follow you everywhere.

Had a very nice lunch at the cafe followed by a walk around the gardens. Not sure that the gardens are quite worth the $15 admission, but they were nice to look at, and the waterfall was very pretty.

you share your walk with birds, ducks and the sound of water. Very peaceful. Do not forget to stop at the cafe; it is worth it.
