I planed to come here to see the cherry blossom. Unfortunately, it's already been the end of season, so I have only seen a few flowers left on the tree. Apart from this, it is still a great park to visit in Palmerston. The playground for children is a great place to visit as well.

Love these gardens. Kids were all excited when riding on the Kiwi Rail and playing on the huge playground. The rose garden has no rose yet, will definitely come back in summer time.

Gardens are lovely, the aviary is worth stopping at and the playground area for kids is great. Lots of tiny ducklings when I visited...bonus! Looking forward to going back later this spring and again to compare the seasons.

Enjoyed our time spent in "Palmy" and had a lovely few hours walking around the gardens. Spent time at the Rose Gardens too and had a beautiful walk along the river. Great place for nature.

Very expensive place for average food. I'd not be tempted to grab a bite to eat here. Grab the kids and go somewhere else in town.

We visited on an overcast spring day, but the blossoms are absolutely stunning and it makes for a brilliant walk through the bush with the sound of the river gently flowing in the distance.

I had to take my dog to Massy University for a major op, it was great to spend time just wandering around the gardens , looking at all the beautiful blossoms , and was surprised at the range of birds. The dog is ok.

When I worked nearby at Girls' High I used to walk through these lovely gardens to enjoy the peaceful beauty, birdsong and colour. Now when we visit we do the same. No matter what time of the year, be it a dull or bright day, the majesty of the trees and the well tended gardens are good for the soul... More

Beautiful, great for visitors and locals. Spring time is gorgeous with rose bushes and cherry blossom trees. Garden walks, Bird life, mini rain ride, little pool, cafe and ice cream, sometimes the odd band play and great playground for kids and adult kids haha

Palmerston North- Tranquil City with Lots of Nice Amenities During our month long trip to New Zealand and Australia, while spending several days in Wellington, some of our friends and we took a two-hour bus ride to spend the day with my best friend from my college days and her family. Palmy, the name that locals fondly call Palmerston North... More
