Our award winning Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Surfing and Winery Tours showcase the best experiences possible in Margaret River. We have special permits and exclusive access to offer a variety of adventure activities spread across three amazing National Parks. All of the activities that we offer are customised to perfectly suit your fitness and ability levels. Age is no barrier either and we can tailor the day to suit the demographics of your group. It’s no secret why Surf n’ Dirt Adventure Tours have wall to wall 5 star reviews. Paul is the ultimate host who treated us to an epic day out.
We started out with mountain biking through the lush and shady trails along the banks of the Margaret River, which were perfectly suited to our kids (12, 10 & 8). Paul’s bikes were top quality, with our our youngest being the lucky first person to ride a brand new set of wheels! (I must confess that we were relieved that she didn’t crash it 😅).
We then had the delight of picking up an extra passenger (Paul’s utterly adorable border collie Mojo) for our kayaking leg along a spectacular stretch of the Blackwood River that only locals know about. Our kids loved having Mojo up front on their kayaks and playing fetch with his ball. We didn’t end up paddling that far because the kids kept jumping out for swims!
We then had a yummy lunch (put together by Paul’s lovely wife Sala) before hitting a small family run winery off the beaten track. After planning on buying only a bottle or two, we walked out with a case! All the while Paul played Bocce with the kids and they ran Mojo ragged.
The only difficulty we had during the entire day was resolving the fights between the kids about who got to have Mojo on thieir kayak, or next to them in the 4WD.
We loved every minute of our day, and highly recommend that if you book with Paul, pick an itinerary where Mojo Can come along 😀

We had a brilliant time with Paul. He tailored the experience to our needs and time constraints, picking us up, taking us kayaking then onto a great winery before dropping us home again. He went out of his way to give us a great day, and was very knowledgeable and experienced. We had loads of fun and highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun local experience!

We spent a perfect New Year’s day with Paul. Fun mountain biking in the forest, tranquil kayaking on the river and great wines. Paul has everything very well organised including a walking route for one party member who didn’t want to cycle.

Myself and my girlfriend completed our second Surf N’ Dirt Adventure tour in November 2021. We did the ‘adventure tour’ which included mountain biking and kayaking in the beautiful national parks and Blackwood River around Margaret River. Everything about this tour is brilliant. Paul the tour guide is the most genuine, welcoming bloke we have come across. He is dedicated to his business and his clients enjoyment and experience. He has an extensive knowledge of the surrounding area, including the wineries and breweries, places for food as well as the countless mountain bike trails and kayaking spots. His knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area was a great touch during our mountain biking experience. Paul’s professionalism, communication and hospitality throughout the tour and prior to was greatly appreciated and reflects in his personality and charisma. We were lucky enough in both tours in 2019 and 2021 to be accompanied by Paul’s Boarder Collie Mojo, who is a loyal, clever and entertaining dog throughout the trip. Paul’s relationship with wineries (in particular Brown Hill Estate) enables a welcoming atmosphere when participating in wine tastings as Paul’s reputation as a tour guide is well respected amongst the area. We could not recommend participating in any of Paul’s tours highly enough. You will most definitely learn, enjoy and experience the Margaret River region for what it truly is. Thanks once again Paul, Mojo and family for providing another wonderful tour. We will definitely be back.

Paul & his sidekick Mojo the dog were outstanding hosts. Taking 10 women out biking and kayaking to celebrate a friend’s 50th is no easy task but Paul totally nailed it. From start to finish he was professional helpful & willing to accommodate for all levels of fitness. He shared his local knowledge & went above & beyond to make the day enjoyable. The lunch served was delicious & the wine at the end perfect. Would totally recommend to everyone.

We have an amazing day with Paul, exploring forests around Margret River and kayaking down the Blackwood river. Paul has a wealth of knowledge about the nature, history and all that the region has to offer.
The tour covers all you need for a terrific day. Lovely lunch at Berry Farm and a fantastic wine tasting up at Brownhill.
All the equipment Paul uses is top of range and it’s great fun driving around in the big Land Cruiser.
The tour is suitable for all ages. I highly recommend the mountain biking and kayaking as they are both wonderful ways to explore nature.
We’ll definitely be back for another tour and hopefully get to meet Mojo on the river next time.

Paul is such a lovely guy, well informative and chatty and a pleasure to spend the day with. His dog Mojo is awesome! The kayaking was great fun, beautiful scenery and you were allowed plenty of time to enjoy the views and activity. The lunch was lovely and freshly made by his wife.
Water and sunscreen offered throughout the day which was an added bonus.
He took us to serval other locations and explained the history and we enjoyed the views and sights.
Early afternoon we visited two wineries and tried their local wines which was good fun.
We finished off visiting the chocolate factory where we got to try some chill chocolate topped with cauliflower!
The trip included pick up and drop off as well.
Highly recommend trip.

This was our second time doing a tour with Paul and his dog Mojo (we did the kayaking tour 2 years ago and we did mountain biking this time). We absolutely loved both tours and they were the highlights of our trips. Paul is extremely reliable, cordial, professional and flexible. He brought Mojo along in both tours and my kids had a blast playing with him. We highly recommend Surf N' Adventure Tours!

Paul was a fantastic tour guide. Remembered everyones names, didn't have to lift a finger. On time to pick us up from our accommodation and dropped us off at our accommodation as well. Well fed and the food was delicious. Paul catered for all our needs, e.g. making sure we were hydrated, even labelling our water bottles and making sure our seats were right for us to go mountain bike riding.The places Paul had taken us were 'Boranup Forest' and 'Blackwood River' gorgeous. Paul was a really good listener and interested in what all of us had to say. We learnt a lot about the Margaret River area. Really enjoyed our last stop 'Brown Hill' winery for tastings, my daughter was underage, Paul played a game of 'Bocce' with her.

We are interersted in booking your Live The Lifestyle tour during the last week of Oct. May I know the leevel of fitness of skill required as we are worried that we would hold the group back esecially during the mountain bike part as we do cycle but seldom do mountain biking. As first time visitors to Maragret River, your tours looks fantastic as there is a balance of adventure while doing the customary visits to the winieries :).

Hi Wendy! Thanks for contacting me. I'm rapt to hear that you like the look of the tours. The Lifestyle tour is my favourite as it covers what I think is the best of Margaret River in a day. As a first time visitor it is the perfect introduction to the region. If you cycle occasionaly and are comfortable on a bike then you'll be fine as we cater to all fitness levels. The trails are mostly scenic and we stop for plenty of drink breaks along the way. I'm sure that you'll really enjoy the trails and the scenery Wendy! You can find a lot of detailed information regarding our 'Live the Lifestyle' and 'Great Escape' tours as well as pricing and booking information at our website. Trip Advisor doesn't allow me to add the link to it here but if you google Surf N' Dirt Adventure Tours then it will pop straight up. You can also call us on 0458191469 to ask questions about our tours or to make a booking at any time. We visit remote areas daily on our tours so quite often we are out of phone reception, but if you just leave a message then we will return your call as soon as we possibly can.

Of course I tried navigating Surf N' Dirt's website before I asked the first question, then again before my repeat question and yet again after the second non-helpful answer from Surf N' Dirt.

We have plenty of tours going from the 24th December onwards and it is more than fine for solo travelers to join any tour that suits them. We often have different groups of people come together on our tours and they always gel really well. Hopefully we'll get to catch up with you when you are in Margaret River at that time!
