We had been to Margaret River couple of times before but we were just wandering around the wineries, cheese/chocolate factories etc. Felt that we wanted to do something different & see more than what one could find on Google / reviews.
Got in touch with Hank about a month before and he was very accommodating and flexible. Met him one drizzly morning and he really showed us all around the area. We saw the river of Margaret River upstream at a small waterfall, as well as its outlet to the sea. Many of the sights he brought us to were off-road which we could never have gotten to by ourselves.
Lunch was at an olive oil farm, which had great food as well as nice things to buy as gifts. There were so many varieties of olive oil with different flavourings.
For the afternoon, we could choose between visiting a winery or catch some more nature. Nature it was and we saw an osprery' nest, long stretchs of empty beaches with no one in sight and a whole forest of grass trees. Hank was very knowledgeable and also gave us an insight into what happened during a bushfire few years ago and how the forest is recovering.
Had a great day out and all the rest of my travelling party agreed that this was the highlight of our southwest trip.
PS: Went back the next morning to one of his recommendations for breakfast (White Elephant cafe) and wasn't disappointed !

Thank you so much Hank for such a wonderful day in Margaret River! We had such a lovely time seeing the wildflowers and hearing about the history of Margaret River. Hank's knowledge of the region is unsurpassed and he takes you to so many wonderful hidden spots. Lunch and morning tea was also excellent and we had time to look around some wonderful shops as well. You must do this tour!

A great introduction to the Margaret River region. Very small group. Good selection of activities - visit to famous surf beach and ancient forest, walking among grass trees and beautiful wildflowers, high quality lunch and two boutique wine tastings. Guide Hank was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

What an amazing experience we had, such a brilliant full day, more than we expected!! Including the weather, a few seasons in the one day!! But only added to day's adventures! The day was enhanced by our friendly, passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable local tour guide Hank! We had a most enjoyable day and loved every minute. From Lighthouses, to dramatic coastlines, to caves, drives through the gorgeous Karri Forests, lunch and more!! Such a personable character, even got on with our young adult children!! So well planned, yet flexible and accommodating. Even after our day he provided us with loads of tips and ideas of what to do next on our next leg of our own road trip. Amazing!! Thank you! We would highly recommend Hank whenever you need a personalized and experienced guide through this stunning and beautiful Margaret River Region. We most definitely will look him up the next time we come back to WA.

A must-do tour and must-meet person in Margaret River. We have had a splendid experience and learnt tons from Hank - Great passion for nature.

I had a lovely day exploring Margaret River area with Hank. He is a great guide with lots of knowledge about the region, its history, nature and everyday life. We visited beautiful and interesting places, had a delicious lunch at a winery and a morning tea/coffee at a cozy local bakery. I can highly recommend this or any tour with Hank.

The day started with a light rain and I was so grateful it turned out sunny the rest of the day .. Hank was very responsive the moment I did my booking ..
I was the only guest for the day so it was really like a private tour with him. I was so lucky 😃 He brought me to Leeuwin Lighthouse, Jewel + Lake + Mammoth Caves, forests, beaches, cliffs, and took photos of me too 🤭
We went to so many places in just one day 🤗 totally worth it 👍 I absolutely recommend him/ his tours 🤗 I definitely would not have been able to do all of it on my own .. so grateful for his services 🤗

We did the one day "Snapshots of Margaret River" small group tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hank is very knowledgable and friendly . The tour has a great mix of scenery(beaches and forest) topped off with lunch at a winery. We recommend this tour

A friend recommended The Snapshots of Margaret River tour with guide , Hank.What a fabulous tour. Hank is knowledgeable, personable and so willing to share stories of his life and experiences in the South West.
We were taken to popular beaches, tucked away wineries and cafes, but the untouched places of breathtaking natural beauty were the highlight.
Forget your camera Hank takes all the photos too.
Morning Tea , coffee, lunch and a glass of wine is included. I too, highly recommend this tour. Thank you Hank !

We did the snap-shot tour with Hank and totally enjoyed the experience. Hank was accommodating and very knowledgeable. The personal experience was amazing. At the end of the great tour of the southern part of Western Australia, Hank gave us directions and information so we could further experience of this region.

Hello there.. My tours are structured to peoples capabilities and interests. I take that into account and design a day around you. I just need to know your interests, and some preferences you may like to be included on the day and i take care of the rest. This also includes, preference for food ( Dietary requirements.) wine, and accommodation information.
