A nature based explore and more - without the hassle organising ! Via Sean’s Discovery Tour with seamless ease ..we did a touch of canoeing amidst tall rare native forrest, in gentle crystal waters; watched overhead by a pair of endangered Baudins with their young! Off for coffee by the coast taking in surf action at Cow Bombie, regional tips on wine with a cellar lunch and the winemaker on hand at Fraser Gallop ..We finished off with a afternoon coastal view walk of part of Cape to Cape !! Couldnt give us a better day Sean unbelievably very very good delivered by an authentic intelligent guide. A little bit of everything! As non tour people this ticked all the boxes ..

My wife and I were in the Margaret River region over the Australia Day weekend and decided to book a Bushtucker tour for the Saturday.

John our tour leader picked us up from our accommodation and from start to finish he was a font of interesting information about the wineries and history of the region, a lovely human to spend time with.

The Bushtucker lunch he put together for our tour group was delightful, with the highlight for me being my first taste of crocodile and desert lime.

The boutique wineries we visited were superb with the people we met working there extremely knowledgeable about wine, more so than other wine growing regions I have visited.

The Cabernet Sauvignon’s we tasted across the 5 different wineries visited had my taste buds buzzing and we loved visiting the cheese and chocolate shops whilst sampling the local ice cream.

Topping the day off at the end was a great visit to the Bootleg brewery to sample some lovely craft beers.

Overall a brilliant and fun day out and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Margaret River wine region.

Thank you very much for a memorable and fun day out!!

I have been on more than 8 tours with bushtucker and thoroughly enjoy each that I have been on. There are so many wineries in the southwest that each tour you are able to see a new winery and experience a different tour guide with their own unique tour style. Either way you will have a great time and enjoy fab WA wines and experience some genuine bushtucker food for lunch.

Thank you John for being a great guide!

The website suggests that on the brewery tour you will enjoy 14 tastings of beer and spirits, specifically stating you will be sampling more than 10 beers.
When we got on the bus it was clear we had been combined with a winery tour group and were to receive the same tour as them, even though we paid more for the brewery tour.
Throughout the day we got to sample a total of three beers and no spirits.
To accommodate the other group we visited a winery so had to sit around while the other members of the tour tasted wine.
At the distillery, only some creamy liqueurs were offered, not spirits as advertised. Again, presumably to accommodate the winery tour guests.
If you are wanting a brewery tour around Margaret River, highly recommend not going with this company as you may be left disappointed.

We went on a day that the waters were very choppy with wind and heavy rain. We were expecting a walk/hike as well(which was a misconception!) so wore sneakers which got totally wet. Suggest wearing only slippers/thongs. Instructions on how to row are for just a couple of minutes, so for those who have not rowed before, it’s not a great idea to start here as the whole group of canoes have to move together and it’s no fun struggling to figure out how to steer the boat when everyone is waiting for you. The lunch is interesting with native ingredients but the spreads for the sandwiches may run out.
The rain ponchos provided do not stand up to wind so in rainy weather, best to wear tight caps/ beanies to not get wet.

On a good weather day, with the right know-how, it’s a great experience with lots of local stories and information provided by the guides.
In poor weather with novices in rowing, not so great.

What an absolute fabulous day from start to finish. As we got on the bus, everyone is introduced to each other, so we all start talking straight away. It made for a very fun and relaxed day, making new friends along the way . The vineyards were outstanding and we have never tasted so many wines in one day.
The lunch so different and so good to be able to taste these unusual products . Absolutely delicious.
This tour was recommended to us and we will be passing the recommendation on.

My daughter and I did the Bushtucker tour with Matt (chef and raconteur).
Matt was very personable and well-spoken.
He knew his subject well and handled a large and varied group in 5 canoes with aplomb.
Highly recommended 👌

I had been on this tour as a backpacker 21 years ago and wanted to do it again with my family. We had a great morning on the river. Ben our tour guide was very knowledgeable in regard to Bushtucker and the history of the area. We went to a great swimming spot and the lunch was also interesting and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.

We went on the canoe tour. Helen was wonderful. She shared her historical knowledge of the area, along with her bushtucker knowledge. Lunch was delicious. I loved the food and was full! Helen's home cooked bush tucker was amazing, from the scrumptious bread, pestos, nuts and fruit to crocodile, kangaroo and emu. Such excellent value for money. Highly recommend and would do again.

There were 10 of us on the Bush Tucker Tour, to celebrate Brian's 75th birthday. We had been on one for his 70th and he wanted to do it again because we'd had so much fun the first time. We mingled in well with the other 4 people on the bus. Ben, our driver and host was not only drop dead gorgeous, but was a lovely young man, kind and well informed. We enjoyed the wines and scenery, with Bettenay's nougat and liqueurs being popular purchases. Lunch was very enjoyable, and we loved trying all the bushtucker delicacies. I would happily recommend this tour as a lot of fun and good value for money.
